Default How is everyone doing?

I have been out of touch for awhile. I thought I would check in and see how everyone is doing. Everyone ready for Christmas? I know I am loving this slightly cooler weather and I am so happy that I am done with my Christmas shopping. Merry Christmas to all!

Well even though I have no control of the calendar, it is coming. Although I really don't like giving money foe gifts, my oldest daughter has requested it to finance their vacation next year. Her husband has a birthday around then and their wedding anniversary is Jan 3rd so they will get money for those occasions. Youngest daughter needed a new mattress and we were able to get one on Cyber Monday at a killer of a price. So there goes my kids Christmas, done! We remodeled our small bathroom this month so there goes my husband's present. Now for all the kids including my grand kids. Nothing bought, no ideas.

I have developed a really bad cold and the cough is killing my back. I never knew I could cough this bad. And it makes me so short of breath.

That's me in a nutshell. But you haven't said how you are.

Well, My son and I have bought a little bit of land and a home that we are in the process of remodeling out in the country. My neurologist decided that we would try Plegridy. On 10/2, I took my first...and last...injection. I had weeks of horrible effects from it. Two therapies tried and two failed. I wonder if he is treating RRMS and it isn't SPMS or possibly PPMS. It seems that I have never experienced a total remission in symptoms in atleast 4 years. We will discuss it next week.
I finally began SSDI and recently received my backpay after I contacted my congressman and got his office involved. We were finally able to move ahead with the remodeling.
My younger son just got married a couple of days ago. I really like his new wife, so all is good on that front.
I am finished with my shopping and ready for Christmas. I am only hoping that the new numbness on my right side does not stick around. Life is always an adventure, isn't it? Oh, I almost forgot...I have been recently diagnosed with celiac disease on top of everything else. Now, I really have no choice but to eat healthy. LOL

Red face

I'm down to 175 pounds! Summer was rough on me, my appetite disappeared with the arrival of heat.

I may become a stick figure model!

I am ready for Christmas although I scaled it down significantly this year. I have a new diagnosis of MD but have been struggling with increasing symptoms for years just no diagnosis. Unfortunately my husband who has been my biggest help fell and broke a hip and is out of commission for a while so while I am loving the cooler weather the snow is not helping right now even though it is beautiful

After a 6 day emergency stay in the hospital for a huge nosebleed which had to be packed and pneumonia, I am getting better.

Good gracious! At least you made it home before Christmas. I caught my bronchitis before it turned into pneumonia this time. I hope and pray you are on the road to recovery.

Doydie!! My goodness what an ordeal! I hope you're on the mend AND taking it easy and resting. How's Charlie doing?

Well 2 days after I got home my back went into terrible spasm. Then in Dec 26 was back in for another nose bleed. Am home and trying to get better. Christmas for our family is in 2 days. I will be sitting in a wheel chair instead of up and walking and helping with the cooking and enjoying the kids. But we all love each other, and a very understanding family. I doubt anyone will let me do anything. My own kids are so super, my oldest daughter, the one who has my grand kids, even did my Christmas shopping for them.

Charlie is good. I had tried to be pretty insistent on making him change his ileostomy bag once. Just so that I knew he could do it. Well he did it and hasn't asked me to help him since. He recently had a 2 day stomach bug and it drained him so it was awful. Well he let his bag go and didn't change it when he should. So while he is totally down with no eneergy at all (was quite scary for both of us) his bag leaked. He didn't want me to do it but I channeled all my nursing ability and changed that bag in seconds. But his health is really helping me so much. He gets my wheel chair in and out of the car all the time, does all the grocery shopping, fixes simple meals for us, has done my laundry for me. He has been my angel.
