Default I have NO Choice but to try Ocrevus

I spoke with my Neuro on August 15. He explains that there has been no change in my MRI since 2016. I asked him if there is no change, how can my symptoms be getting worse? Well, this is how he explained it to me...I have multiple active lesions bilaterly in my brain and a larger lesion on the Pons. Of course, I interrupted and asked, How many is multiple? and What and where is this Pons located? He continued, Multiple is way too many as far as I am concerned and the Pons is located on the brainstem.

He explained to me that since we have tried 4 MDT's and I was unable to tolerate any of the 4, we have no choice but to try Ocrevus, is that okay with me? I trust my Neuro completely. I hope it works, I am finally scheduled for the first half of the first infusion on October 4th. Fingers crossed that I tolerate this stuff, it is a Hail Mary for me...all or nothing!

I hope this medication works for you. I read the manufacturer's web page for this med and while it has it's share of risks and possible side effects it doesn't sound any worse than any of the others.

Let us know how you tolerate it once you've given it enough time. Reading all the possible side effects can be daunting and make you second guess your decision to take the med but they have to list every single one.

I'm hoping this will be the med that you can tolerate and that it works well for you.
