Had my neuro scribe me sleep med for round of steroids. Gave me Rozerem. Reading mfr's site, I came accross the 1st line below. Looked up the rest...

Rozerem has been associated with decreased testosterone levels and increased Prolactin levels. (Takeda Pharmaceuticals )

Well of course it's not covered by my ins. Sheesh. $200 as written. Pharmacist said the 3 given to me by ins co are different class.

Eddie, my answer would have been no.

Prolactin occurs more in the middle of pregnancy, and the nature of it is to provide a good source of food for a baby. It helps the baby's brain develop in the womb, as it is growing, not the person who takes it for sleep aid.

What protects women during pregnancy is EPF (Early pregnancy Factor). That does turn down the the "T", and increase Estrogen and Progesterone.

After pregnancy they get lowered and then a relapse may occur from the drop in Estrogen, which btw, is being tested in clinical trial and MS now, but along with "C" so it will be hard to decipher the outcome.

Are you in a relapse, why the steroids? Did I miss something?

I thought Test went up hence increased hair growth during pregnancy. I know mine grows like weeds on Test.

Yes my MS has been progressing rapidly the past few months I started 2 months ago what's in that trial but i'm on Ty not C. It's not helping but i'm taking only 4mg estriol not 8 & 4mg progesterone. I do 1/2 C shots now and then as well. The last C shot stopped spasms in my left thumb/index finger the next day. Haven't returned since. If i lose much more feeling in my left hand (right is far worse), life will be hard...maybe too hard. I upped my fishoil to 4800mg/day and bying CoQ10 next time I get to store. Dr Oz says it increases oxygen and people over 50 (im 40's) swear by it.

Lady your upcoming procedure is keeping me hopefull!

Years ago i started this thread.
I stopped estriol & progesterone many many yrs ago.
Took it for 1yr. Possibly 4mg of each.
Price tripled after 1yr so i quit it.

Progesterone helped trumatic brain injury on tv news many years ago.
Anyone know anyone that tried & outcome?

Anyone try Glutamine for sickle cell? I saw that worked well on tv too.
