Hi Ganna,
I haven't tried ursolic acid but I did find this about it--in a recent issue of Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences: A dual effect of ursolic acid to the treatment of multiple sclerosis through both immunomodulation and direct remyelination | PNAS

Humm, nice discover, I'm actually taking 3 supplements, a multi-vitamin, Grape Seed Extract, and vitamin-D.
I think supplements may be a good back up to support the main MS treatment. Sadly, some people still consider them just some "herbs and plants" that do nothing, I think homeopathy scandals and scams made no good to this therapeutic agents that can usually help when you know what you need. Further, some doctors are turning their attention to this increasingly more over time. E.g. talking with my pharmacist, she recommended me to avoid echinacea, as it boosts the immune system, so it should be avoided by people with MS, and she was serious about it. So yes, they work, just use them with care. |
