Put on your earmuffs doydie!! Don't listen!! Of course mine has been open since last weekend when some of my grandkids were here. They won't be here for Halloween so they took some home. Another grandson who lives closer will probably be the only one ringing my doorbell.

You're right though, when the kids are grown, it isn't nearly as fun anymore. I switched from Halloween to just Fall decorations. Down in the town (I'm up on a hill), people go all out and there's even a parade. Safer than a big city.

Trick or treat,
Smell my feet.
Give me something
Good to eat!!!! As long as it's chocolate!

Happy Halloween!

Well I must confess, I was weak. I ate some. I had to make sure it was good candy soi all the Moms and Dads of the neighborhood wouldn't be worried that the candy was tainted. I was just doing my civic duty. My husband doesn't buy into the theory that you buy candy you don't like. It's his favorite holiday of the year. He loves to see the kids and pass out the candy. Unfortunately he takes from the bowl as he is closing the door. Sams wholesale has these HUGE bags of candy, all the good stuff.

we have this one family down the street that won't take candy until their kids give us candy. They are all so sweet. I remember when we were kids, ummmI guess that was about 45 years ago, that we had certain houses we knew we could get popcorn balls and caramel apples from. They just don't do that anymore. Of course if they did we wouldn't let our kids eat them anyway.

They seem to help me with my moods or I use that as an excuse to eat more of them and vow never to over eat them again HA HA. Have a Happy Fun Day.

Default Candy on the table

sarah boo.bmpI had these cool little six packs of oreo cookies to hand out and I ate half of the box.

When faced with this problem....tell yourself....okay, if I run out of candy because I ate some........I will have to give out dollar bills

I love Halloween...the photo is my daughter as Cookie Monster back in 1989

No, I'm the Cookie Monster!!!

I didn't get the light out fast enough last night and some wee little beggars came knocking at my door, I bawled because couldn't answer the door.

I HATE THIS DISEASE!

((((sally))))

is it cold already where you live sally? or could you sit at a little table outside for a little while? we did that with my dad one year. was chilly, but the 30 minutes was worth it.

this year will be hard for me. my front door is down stairs. i can't do but a few trips up and down daily. i'm going to sit outside. this is texas...and the weather is still nice though. i know the ringing of the doorbell is fun for the kids, but i figure one less door and still get candy? they won't mind.

Good idea, Monkey breath, but my porch has one very high step and I wouldn't try to handle it by myself. The Kids would probably have to take candy off of my frozen cadaver....which would fit right into Halloween..LOL
