It's unbelievable all that's happened out there. Hey, Toffy, your house is still okay, then? Has the river crested and started to retreat yet? What a crummy thing that's happening to so many.

Stay safe and Pilot with care.

My house is fine. The water was quite far from it. Needed to drive or walk to see the water. Thank goodness. Just my dad got it! One relative is enough!

Found my co-worker! She is ok and living with her sister. She only got 2 inches! One of the lucky ones! New carpet!

So need to do something else? As luck would have it...(finally) had bought tons of fruit and veggies and water and stuff for pantry. Also had two gift cards for a local lumber yard. (thanks sons) So, DH is off to make deliveries. We know so many people in need!

Taffers, you and DH are so thoughtful.
I'm glad you didn't have any damage.

It snowed here again last night...another inch.

DH just got back from finding one of his co-workers that lives in a small outlying town. Parts of the road to this town are missing. DH walked in. He found co-worker. His house...the first floor is pretty much totally out. This guy could see cars and dead cows floating down the river.

DH saw dead animals stuck in fences on his walk.

I-5....that they opened...gravel. Yes, a major freeway has a gravel lane.

The power of water. I will never look at it the same again!

I think I am gonna be sick now.

(Taffy thinking it must be time to clean out the closet of clothes. Someone might need clothes.)

Hi Taffy,

I've been following your updates with great interest. I have an older sister who lives in Canby, OR. I haven't heard yet but don't believe they were too adversely affected except for some loss of power.

I'm heartened in the outpours of support you and your DH have exhibited toward your coworkers and neighbors.

My thoughts and prayers with be with you and the other people affected by this storm.

Thank you for posting and please keep us updated.
