Default News from neuro

Hi everyone!!
I had my lp on Tue and my dr called me on Fri (wonderful man) ...
I don't have MS(please don't kick me out of here.)
He's pretty sure that my weird vast array of symptoms are from fibromyalgia and the spinal cord injury. (cervical surgery in 5/06) vertebrae was in pieces and cutting into spinal cord. Dr fixed neck, but could not fix the spinal cord.
He did not know for sure what the 10 spots in my brain were from.
He recomended a dr who treats fibro, and pain management, along with some physical therapy, something low-impact. swimming perhaps.
So I am relieved to finally get some kind of definitive dx, and plan of action.
I am still very concerned, my physical and mental capasities seem to be going in the wrong direction.
But we will see.
I have been trying to get things done around my house, playing with my puppies, you all remember them....Wrenn and the Jaxx, the Jack Rotten terrier!! Actually since it is just me and them...Wrenn has really stepped up and become very protective, and wanting to help. We went for a short walk today and I had her "pull" me up the hill. I have also been grabbing her collar when I get up so she will learn to help pull me up from sitting too..
What a good beautiful doggie. The Jaxx however....well she just brightens my every minute and makes me laugh along with her snuggles and kisses. And her little "got milk" face and ponytail ears.
Well it is almost midnight and I am getting a bit sleepy.. and yes I did have a nice nap this morning. heehee\
Take care and hugs everyone!!
Geri

Hi Geri!! It's great that your Dr is so thorough and proactive. So many horror stories out there of bad Dr experiences. Sounds like you've got a "keeper" there. Glad to hear you don't have MS and that the Dr is checking everything out.

I have two doxies and they are like my babies. Not big enough to pull me up tho.... Might have to borrow Wrren....

take care and hug the pooches for me..

Hi Geri,

Glad to hear the news that you do NOT have MS. I must say you have enough other physical challenges going on with you at this time.

You will not be kicked out of here just because of your diagnosis. You still exhibit symptoms similar to those of MS and there is no reason why you can't stay here and keep us updated and share your experiences.

I don't have MS but my symptoms are so similar to MS that I was misdiagnosed with MS for five and a half years before they discovered I has HSP.

So, stay, enjoy, and participate in the Neurotalk forum community.

Yeah, what Santa Craig said, Geri.

Some of us will probably find out (after we're dead), that we never had MS..and some who have been told they didn't have MS, will find out they did!!!!

Docs try, but they don't have all the answers. Fibromyalgia and MS sometimes go hand in hand. Either/Or is a pain in the ****.

Funny you should mention this Sally. My neuro told me that they can only make their best guess on a diagnosis with technology what it is today and yet they can't cure much if anything. I'm sure this is frustrating to them.

Default Keep Me!!!

What do you mean, put her on EBAy??? I would't bring much....
old and decrepid (t) however you spell it...SEE!!!
Thanks guys, for almost 4 yrs now I was told possible MS, but I just love my new neuro, but he is not the one that will be treating me, bummer coz he is kinda cute, ya know??? , nudge, nudge, hint, hint, I just might have to send him a card for the holidays!! hehhhehh
I have pains in the rear and every where else.
It has been rainy and icy all weekend in mid Illinois and I'm hurting more,,,,but I did manage to take 2 naps per day!!!
The pups have been clowns this weekend. Wrenn is not about to leave my side, and of course the Jaxx is usually trying to sit on my head, both beg without any shame when I am eating. But look at their little faces,,how cute, and they are hungry!!! Their big huge bowl is em...oh wait a minute, it's full of great food, so why are they stalking me???
Us three went into town last night and shopped just a little. Not into the holiday spirit this year, but had to find some things for employees. I did manage to find the cutest hot pads with.....mail boxes on them...tadaaa!!
You all are very supportive and I will be here for you also.
Take care and talk to you later.
Hugs Geri licks from said puppies.

I don't care what you have. You like doggies right? Then you can stay!

Glad you don't have MS!
