I will be in Harrisburg PA - eastern time zone on New Years Eve! I will be with Laurel - Yippee! Finally getting out of here, my ears are clear and I am going to fly out on Friday! Yeah!!!!!

Still have some sniffles, but feeling better. Tomorrow is pack up the suitcase day and get ready for Friday.

Not to worry Taffy about the car at the airport. Problem solved this time. I am taking my neighbors to the airport tomorrow in their car and then taking myself to the airport in their car on Friday. They come back before I do, so I just have to tell them where I left their car. Problem is then theirs! LOL!

Then when I return on the 7th, I just call them to come pick me up. Or maybe PODH will pick me up...

My aunt is from Harrisburg, PA!! Her father was a coal miner.

I've heard that Harrisburg is kinda pretty, it's up in the mountains, isnt it?

Got me! I've been there once! You have to remember, I live in Idaho. We have MOUNTAINS here...when I lived on the East Coast, they kept talking about mountains and I kept looking for them...LOL! (I will admit there are a couple of them in Maine....)

I just know that a rockfall from one of the mountains in PA is what killed my aunt's dad. If they have boulders the size of small VW Bugs rolling down the hills, then that's what I would consider a mountain.

I'm from Nebraska. Anything larger than a small hill is a mountain to me.

The largest mountain's that I've seen so far (and I havent seen many) has been a mountain in Denver that I could sorta see from the airport, and the Black Hill's in South Dakota. (went to see Mt Rushmore last april on my first vacation with the boyfriend. It was GREAT! altho, I dont like how hilly everything is up there. I'm acrophobic...drove the boyfriend nuts because I kept freaking out when driving up and down the mountains)

Before seeing those mountains, the largest "mountain/hill" I'd seen was the bluffs in Council Bluffs, IA (across the river from Omaha) I havent been to many places that have mountains nearby.

I got my husband a GPS for Chritsmas. Well, really it's for me. He is so hard to buy for, doesn't want anything so he doesn't have to buy anything for that person. So he suggested a GPS cause he knows I like gadgets. We used one on a borrowed car when we went up to the Mall of America and it was fun.

I still havent used my GPS to go anywhere, but I may use it if my boyfriend and I go anywhere for a weekend sometime in 2008. (he's got one too, but mine is smaller and hopefully wont fall off of the windshield as often as his does...those suction cups dont hold very well.)

CHRISTMAS IS OVER???? Wah!!!! I basically missed it! I have been sick since last Sat. I just went through the motions to get the holiday over with. It was quiet here, but we had a great dinner and lots of presents....And, I think for the first time in many months, I am settling into the many changes that have happened in my life.

I'm blessed to have a pretty great DH who is by my side as I continue my journey. It's a journey that is w/in myself. I've realized that all my losses aren't final and that I have much to be thankful for.

*getting off soapbox*

I hope you ALL had a great Christmas.

NEW YEAR'S??? We have plans, but only b/c friends are coming down from WI and have made reservations. I am hoping I'm better by then. I don't do late night....
