Default I have entered the electronic age

I used to call myself computer illiterate, I guess I still am. But last fall we got our first digital camera. I have really enjoyed using it. Then for Christmas we got a digital picture frame and GPS unit. The picture frame was the hardest to figure out. I couldn't figure out how to get the pictures off my conmputer onto the memory stick to put into the frame. Today I finally figured it out!!!!!!

My husband couldn't understand why it meant so much for me to do it. I was and RN, much of what you do is based on fact and science. MS took so much of that ability away. I was so proud of myself that I was finally able to do this. I just tried one thing after another to get it to work and finally it did.

Now I will put some of my favorite pictures on a new memory stick to put in my camera. I don't carry a billfold with pictures. I just turn on my camera when someonre wants to see my girls. Now if I can just figure out how to put pictures in email and here. You guys don't know what you are missing not seeing my girls!!!!!!

I'm proud of you, Doydie..

I don't know how they do the thumbnails here...ask AMA or Cheryl.

I have a website and keep some of my pictures there. I just click the picture icon (above), copy and paste the URL and walla!!

I wanna see those pictures.

Good Job Doydie! I like the picture frame idea - does that switch between pictures? I have never seen one....

Since the particular digital frame my hubby got me doesn't have any hard drive in it and uses a memory card which has to be in it for it to run, I assume it will hold as many pictures as on the memory card. Before I downloaed them onto my computer, it had 189 pics on it. You set the frequency for the pictures to change, anywhere from 10 seconds to 30 minutes. It can be a slide show or random. And you can put music on it. So if my son in law over in Iraq had one, we could send a memory card of like a wedding and have the wedding music on it or a birthday theme. Get the 'picture'?

I fugured out that the SD slot on my GPS is also a memory slot. I can put pictures or music on it. Now why I would want pictures or music on my GPS unit I don't know.

You have to admit, Doydie, it's kind of fun to monkey around with gadgets, isn't it? I'm a little bit of an addict myself.

I'm looking at the new TouchPod with eager eyes. Mostly, I'd want it for the internet but iPods are fun to have period.
