Default Yikes...I've got laryingitis

and I just cant figure out why my parents are so happy that I have laryingitis and cant talk...I wonder why that would be?

I think I made my cold worse today. My aunt's sprinkler system froze and then sprung a huge leak, and I had to step into a big icy pile of snow (that had freezing cold sump pump water flowing underneath it) to get to my aunt's door to go inside to get to the emergency shut off. (no one else with better shoes was around)

Wearing a light jacket, jeans, t-shirt and my Croc shoes (shoes made of foam, which are normally worn in the summer)

I have to remember to take some paper and a pen with me to the doctor's office tomorrow...unless he understands sign language.

I just wish my parents would stop giggling about me not being able to talk...

Hi Erin! I just got over a virus and bronchitis and couldn't hardly talk for several days. Finally broke down and went tot the Dr and started on antibiotics and cough syrup. Maybe I should ask DH why he was smiling all the time!! Probably a good rest from hearing me!! ha!

Hope you feel better soon Erin. Oh, and MUM's the word!

I actually got a little sleep last night, so I feel a little better. (got woke up early when the cleaning lady appeared 3 hours early, so now I cant go back to bed)

My voice is almost totally gone now. The other cold symptoms feel a lot better tho. (the Mucinex DM probably hasnt worn off yet.)

I wanna go back to bed, but I have to pick up the junk off the floor so the cleaning lady can scrape the top layer of dust off everything. (yeah, clean up so that things can get cleaned up by the cleaning lady)

At least I'm up early enough to call the doctor to go in and get the throat checked and get the good cold medicine.

Well Erin, your loss of voice hasn't affected YOUR TYPING ABILITIES!

I guess we can expect a lot of long winded posts from you today to make up for your silent voice.

BTW, your parents called and confided in me that THIS IS GREAT!!!!!

Seriously though.................. Hope you feel better soon.

No, I'm just normally long winded.

I guess I must like to talk, whether verbally or text-ually.

I must like to type lots of words because I was a big fan of Edgar Rice Burroughs when I was a kid (Burroughs got paid by the word when he wrote the Tarzan series for a magazine, so he used lots of extraneous verbage in his writing. He'd take two pages just to describe how the Ant Men did math, or how their special candles emitted oxygen instead of CO2)

(((((((((((Erin))))))))))) Hurry up and feel better..

I'm trying to stay away from this thread, 'cause I feel some sniffles coming on..

Write lots of notes to your parents until they pray for your voice to come back..

Before I got MS, I would hardly ever go to the doctor for a cold. This afternoon I went, to make sure I didnt have strep. Good thing I did, because the reason I was losing my voice wasnt because of the sore throat.

I have bronchitis, and he said it was pretty bad...wrote me a lovely Rx for Levaquin, told me to keep taking the Mucinex and sent me on my way.

I'm impressed with the levaquin, I can feel it working and as long as I lay still and dont move at all, I can breathe...talking is still not so good, but at least I can breathe now. I hadnt realized things were so bad. I didnt think this was in my lungs.

breathing is nice...I guess I can give up the talking for a bit.
