Wow Erin,
I've been on Copax for 5 years or so-- and have yet to have that happen.. but will be very aware from now on..Thanks for sharing this as it's a great heads up..I hope you're feeling better and are getting past this alarming episode okay..
Now, what I HAVE experienced with this med, and it's the ONLY thing I really hate about it, is the frickin' lipo-atrophy. Over time,in a very low percentage of those taking it,(me included, natch) the shots cause DENTS, permanent ones, where apparently it breaks down the fat distribution on the site areas..and it looks like crap. Nice big ol' dents on my thighs..the ones on my arms kinda look like muscle definition( I hope/wish, hehe).. but isn't..The ones on my butt/hips I don't care about as much-- That's all pretty 'dented' with age anyway...So I'm basically sticking with the butt area.. I'm OVER shooting in the other areas, only making this denting worse..
Oh and I stopped icing a while ago, because it took too much time.. For me this was no big deal..and coinci'dent'ally, someone at Shared Solutions later mentioned that the icing may be part of the cause..GREAT.. now they tell me. I would not advise everyone stop icing with Copaxone just because it works okay for me-- I'd check with your neuro and/or Shared Solutions first.

I hardly ever ice my injection sites, because it's a PITA (Pain In The A....)

I only iced that spot the other night because my boyfriend told me it might keep the bruise from getting too horrible. He used to be a janitor and has had a lot of bruises from stuff falling on him.

Oh, and the bruise, that wasnt all that bad this afternoon, looks like I got kicked by a horse now. (and I have been kicked by a horse, this doesnt hurt as bad, but looks just as bad)

It's a darker shade of blue (I wish I could yarn that shade of blue)

I'm having a blast tonight. I got a brand new tv today, and I'm watch Harry Potter movies. Too bad I dont have an HD dvd player. (someday...when I win Powerball)

I think I'll go take my shot of C and hope I dont nearly bleed to death this time.
