Hi everyone, can't let this thread die.

How is everyone. Have any plans for the summer?

I do,How to keep cool. I love summer but as time is going on
it is getting harder to handle the heat. Keeps me indoors more then
out.

How are you feeling?

I haven't been doing to good these past few months. The past week
I am having a flare up. My vision is so poor that is why I don't get to read
all the posts. writing this I have to correct so many mistakes it is
unbelieveable and scary. I read the posts a little, get off,go back and finish
reading what I started. Then to tired to respond.

My balance is way off and the legs just don't want to go where I
want them to. Enough

I hope we all have a happy and interesting summer, so we can talk
about all of our adventures.

Jappy
everyone take care :grouphug:

Awww, doggoneit, Jappy..:( Summer heat seems to bring on these #$%^$@ Flares...Yuck..Bah and all that!!

Lets just stay in our A/C and pretend it's nice outside. Right now, I'm looking out the front window and seeing my beautiful Crimson King Maple movng gently to the breeze, the sun is peeking out of the clouds and it looks just beautiful. I'll try to forget it's 90 out there.. :D

Feel better soon, my Jappy..

Good thinking, Jappy, thanks! What a bummer that this junk is kicking your little butt again. I'm glad you could come on and let us know how you're doing, some of us worry about you.

It's very hot and humid here, about 85°, so I'm as good as cheap meat. Now that it's SPMS, I really don't have attacks anymore but I am going downhill pretty quickly and finding each day just a little harder than the last.

I'm really having a hard time moving, typing comes in spurts until my left hand balls itself up and quits on me. Between gas prices and the heat, this year is feeling more confining than in the past. Heck, on hot days, I used to drive around for fun with the air on just to get out a little. Those days are gone!

We did have a wonderful spring here, it has been so nice and cool, but alas, summer is upon us.

I'm hoping to attend the annual Civil War Muster in July. I truly enjoy all the period clothing, canvas tents, cavalry and cannonfire. Sure hope it's not too hot that weekend. I couldn't go last year, it was in the 90°s with 5,000% humidity.

Other than that, it will be a pretty low-key summer for me, my hope is to take a long ride in the car some time after Labor Day. We'll see.

Jappy that is such a bummer! I was having a tough April myself. I had the IVSM for 9 days and seem to be recouping. I am finally getting my energy back. Hope you have some relief soon!

As for the summer, no plans. The heat will keep me indoors. My college girlfriends and I are planning a weekend on Martha's Vineyard (one of them lives there) Last year was the first one and it was such a blast! We cried, laughed, cried some more and had such a good time. That is my only plan so far.

Dang it, Nappy.:( I want you to call your Doc, right this minute and demand some LDN!!!!! 3mg to start and work up to 4.5mg. It really does work to keep me stable and feeling better, and I'm betting it will do the same for you.

Just Do It!!!

This cold is running its course as usual. I am hoping it will not turn into a sinus infection like last time. I am doing everything I can to keep my head from staying stuffed.

Jappy, I am sorry to hear you are doing poorly again. I hope you get to feeling better soon.:hug::hug:

Girlie Girl - 9 days of IVSM???? I hope that part of that was ORAL???? I love Martha's Vineyard! We used to fly down there from Hanscom as well as to Nantucket. That was a lot of fun!

Nappy....snap out of it! Listen to Sally! (I would!)

Strawberry Rhubarb this weekend Sally....time to pick the rhubarb! ;)

I got this really cool text-to-speech program that reads to me when my eyes dont want to work right. I bought the full version of the program so that I could have the computer voices that sound nearly human. The program is called TextAloud.

I got it from their website http://www.nextuptech.com/ but I think you can probably buy it from Amazon a little cheaper (not sure, would have to go look, but I'm lazy :D)

The program is really nice. It can convert text into MP3 files that you can put onto an iPod or some other mp3 player. I go to sites like Project Gutenberg http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page and download books that are out of copyright and turn them into mp3 files to listen to in the car.

It'll read text off of websites. It's one of the things that kept me from going completely insane when I had my first case of optic neuritis.
