Time to check up on the gang!

How's everyone doing?

I saw my clinical trial doc last Friday and he put me back on Sinemet for spasticity. I think it's finally starting to work! My legs are a little less painful and I finally got a 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep last night! It's amazing what sleep will do for your attitude!!!

Soma isn't the drug for me for spasticity. Guess I will have to deal with the stomach side effects ... as if I don't already!

Hope everyone else is doing ok and have a great 4th!

Hi Cheryl
Glad you got some sleep. It's a miracle how much it helps. I sleep all day and can't sleep at night.

I'm hangin in there. I'm having a bit of MS flare, talked to doc this week. She gave me the option of IV steroids. I opted out, but agreed to an UTI test, no results yet. I'm still running a low fever, been nearly a month now. I had a cold for a while, but am better (see below) MS is just increased intensity, pain, heaviness, and numbness junk that bothers me daily but is really getting on my nerves. Plus the need to sleep is taking over my world.

I've had this annoying cough that's getting worse (more frequent) for several weeks. Like a tickle in my throat that leaves me gaggin/choking, weird. I haven't been able to wear my night guard when I sleep. The teeth clenching is causing a headache.

I went for breathing test and allegy testing on Wed. The breathing test was in the normal range, but with a history of mild asthma it might not show up. I think living in the mile high city has helped the lungs though. The new allergy/asthma meds, I started today should help me, I hope.

I'm lookng forward to a relaxing day. Just going next door to my sisters. I can sneak home and nap as necessary.

Happy 4th of July all my US friends. Have fun, eat too much, and stay safe.

Hi all...(covering one eye and not standing long) I am coming off of a three day headache. OMG! None of the drugs was cutting it! I swear....I only sniffed and licked the bottle caps at the Portland Road Trip!! Imagine if I had done more!

So FG...this RX...does a number on your guts? Does this mean you are not eating? Cause you are pretty skinny enough.

I have some brown bread I can send you.

(Dragging off to the kitchen...looking like a mouse that the cat drugged in.)

Oh Taffy, another headache?? Did you ever talk to the doc about upping your Topamax?? No?? Well, I think maybe you should...

We didn't feed you anything you shouldn't have had...oh don't let Shelley answer that, she swears *I* didn't feed her at all!!!

Yeah, this med upsets my stomach a little, but that's ok...it seems to be perpetually upset anyway. Doc says it's stress related. Ya think?? Hmmm...could be something to that.

Ok ok, I am working on the stress stuff.

I hope your headache goes away soon Taffy. Is it hot over there? It only supposed to be 95 today, 105 yesterday!

No miracle here. It is cloudy out today with the chance of
thunderstorms.

Like you Sally, did not wake up with a bang!!

At least I can say that the shots the dr. gave me Wed. did help some.
I slept that night. But last night wasn't as good.

Will probably go over to my DD's house later and stay a short time, just
to break up the day. She only lives 2 miles from me.

HAPPY 4TH EVERYONE!!!!!

Jappy

Hope all you sicky "appy"s are feeling better, if not now very soon. And that is an order.

The 4th was beautiful here sunshine and mid 70's fairly low humidity. I spent the day in my sisters no gravity recliner in the back yard. She had a misting fan that kept us all cool to cold when a cloud rolled by. She said it cost $80 at BJ's. The fan stands on a pole and oscillates. Very cool, literally and figuratively.

I ate pulled pork with coleslaw. Massive dark chocolate brownies, and drank lots of water. My face and part in my hair are pink, I hope they don't peel. Noone said, hey white girl you're burning.

I'm going to try and sleep in Saturday. I went without a nap but was so comfy in the chair. I asked for one for xmas. Is it too early to make requests?

Sounds like a good day Bappy! Those brownies sound wonderful!

We had friends over after we went to a movie this afternoon. We all went to see Wall-E. Great movie!! Loved it.

We bbq'd Kokanee and had salad and potatoes and Key Lime Pie for dessert! Yum!!!

Hi Jappy! Hope you had fun!

Hey Sappy! No bang here either. Just tired.

Beautiful Independence Day here, too. Weather was ideal so I stayed home and sat outside with a book. Later, an indoor picnic with all the traditional 4th picnic foods and we used paper plates for a laugh. The best part about this picnic was, I wore my jammies.

When the dark came down, I was able to enjoy fireworks from my own porch on three sides. I stayed in my jammies. It was a good day.

We could sit on our deck and watch fireworks in jammies too! It was great!

It cooled down real nice last night so it was very enjoyable and several of the subdivision had fireworks that we could see.
