Beth!- You sound like you are being kept VERY busy! I went through my Dad's illness with him, running back and forth between Maine and Massachusetts, cooking meals ahead for him and doing laundry, chores, cleaning, shopping, etc. and then speeding home and doing it for my own home and still working full time nights! The only advice I have is don't forget about YOU! Rest when you can, don't sweat the small stuff and try to enjoy the time you are spending with Dad. Time is short and when everything is over, you won't remember the hard stuff, you'l remember the quiet conversations and the little moments that you shared.

It HAS been busy on the board and I am trying to keep up too, while investigating the places I have never looked in before! I think it's good that more people are here, it sort of makes me look around more and follow people to see what they are doing and when I do that I get more involved here too!!

Thanks Everybody for that

( a special note for Yappy, You are doing an EXCEPTIONAL JOB!! Everytime I go somewhere new, I see your responses and gentle reminders and helpful hints to the new folks! :You-Rock: :Thanx: You are amazing!)

Riverwild your ability to retain and write such cool replies is inspiring. I feel the worst is behind us. Dad showered on his own tonight. Walked a bit without crutches. If I had a big ego, I'd say, it is because I am here to help him. LOL

I agree the influx of new people is so exciting. It makes the duldrums of winter more bearable. Thanks newbies, soon to b oldbies.

Our monkey should have a big gold star on her forehead for all the above and beyond work and spirit to make this transition painless. Thanks Curious!

Good on your Pop, Beth, and good on you. I'm sure you are tired, but I am sure he is happy to have you there. You are both in my thoughts and prayers as he continues his recovery.

Flippy, flappy, tippy taffy...you know it does get confusing!

And you know how easily I confuse on a good day, and I'm not having many of those lately!

think I will just flap my wings and go do something else!

Truthfully I feel like I am going to drop. I am having the jittery, shaking feeling in my insides. I hate when that feeling comes around. When that starts the rest of the body problems act up.

Its only 7:15 pm but tonight I am going to try and go to bed early.

Good-Nite Jappy

I hate the jiggy-shakes, it's creepy feeling and it keeps me up at night. You get some sleep, and let us know how you are in the morning.

Sleep well, Jappy! Feel better tomorrow. :)

Hi Cheryl
I'm doing fine today, except I tired of cold and snow already. Yesterday was the first day my back didn't hurt and I think I'm adjusting to more activity. Always a good thing. I'm not going to let that slip away... again

How are you feeling? I feel for you girl. I am sending healling thoughts your way. Enough is enough!

I tried to abandon them this morning. Got halfway across the living room and went "Opps! I've made a serious tactical error", and then asked my mom to roll her rollator over to me so I could go back to where I started from to get the crutches.

Now my ankle is starting to throb and my knee is an interesting size and shape...and forming a big bruise.

I kept waking up last night, because I sleep on my side, and everytime I bent my knee a little bit, it would wake me up.

My dad wants me to go to the store with him later. I'm either going to hop onto one of the electric carts, or we'll take two hours to buy a 6pack of pop and some doughnuts for breakfast.
