If you go to this link http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ and do a search you will find all the answers you need for the results you have for your LP.

Also, there is a link at the top of the page for PubMed. Click on that and do a search for Lumbar Puncture or Spinal Tap. Lots of good links on this site!!

Normal for MBP is 4.0, FYI.

Yeah - I've heard anxiety can elevate MBP...lol...seriously, are you going to get a second opinion?

BTW - my LP didn't have bands, so my second opinion doc wouldn't say it was positive. The specialist said that they rely more on IgG index and synthesis rate and dx'd based on MRI's alone. Oh - and apparently IVSM can mess with the results, but my memory of the details is a bit foggy...it was six years ago.

Hope you get some real answers soon!

My IgG index was 0.5, that's not high (normal is 0.0-0.7), yes I plan on getting a 2nd opinion.

IVSM???
