We cancelled United Health Care as of 12/31/07 and now only have TriCare/TriWest as our health insurance. It's what, Jan 24, 2008, and I am in love with them...I cannot believe the difference in attitude, care, and concern that the Patient Care Advocates take and the time they spend with ME on the phone to solve a simple glitch in the system....what a breath of fresh air!!!

All my prescriptions -- 10 of them, have been transferred over to Express-Scripts Mail order. 3 were sent in on the same form, which was unfortunate. They were sent in with plenty of lead time, but the Provigil required pre-auth which held up the other 2 by a few days. I called them to have the rx's separated which they said they would do.

Well, it didn't get done. I am now into my "emergency" stash of Topamax and have called them twice to find out where the order is. I told them I would pay for next day shipping. That was on the 19th. Still no meds.

I called yesterday and the PCA said they were shipped. Checked today...no shipment.

I just got off the phone with another PCA and this guy was wonderful. He said, hmmm...there seems to be a problem that is ours, not yours. Let me put you on hold for a couple of minutes and check it out.

He came back and said that all my meds had been shipped out this morning, next day air, no expense to me, and I should have them tomorrow!! He apologized for the error and said that they should have been shipped on the 21st as I was told, and he doesn't know why.

Now for the good part - the Provigil pre-auth was approved for one year, I didn't have to talk to anyone, neither did my doc! She filled out the form, sent it in...bingo! Approved! No arguing, no appeal...nothing!! Geez, what a relief!!! I am amazed!!! Shocked...And the cost savings is incredible!!!

Good part number two -- when the request was sent in for an out of network approval for the ENT specialist, it was approved on the spot!

This is TriCare/TriWest...why didn't we change to them a long time ago. Why have we been paying $1300-$1500 a month for crappy ol' United Health Care and stressing with them and their expensive coverage and co-pay?????

I am so thrilled!!! Oh what a relief!!!

FG is happy! Sick, but happy!

Flygirl!

You lucky woman! So glad they are working out for you! Sounds like you hit the jackpot with ExpressScript and Tricare! I loved them when my Dad was sick. They always answered all my questions and worked to ensure that he got all his drugs delivered safely and securely, and that was a MUST!

He never paid a penny for anything. When he died, I went through all his bills and payments that he had saved throughout the whole illness, and whatever Medicare didn't or wouldn't pay for, Tricare took care of. I added everything up and the sum was horrific. There is NO way he would have been able to manage all of it and I truly don't believe he would have lived as long as he did if he'd had to worry about the cost of his health care.

Now...will you get better already!!

I am working on getting better! Hopefully, I will get some answers from the ENT guy tomorrow...

Cheryl, that is wonderful!! I have had terrific service from Express Scripts. DHL left my Copaxone (3 months worth) at a house 2 miles from me! When their van went by my house without stopping I knew something was up.

I called ES and within 30 minutes DHL retrieved the package and delivered it. ES called me back and told me the story and apologized. That was 2 years ago and only FedEx delivers my stuff now.

DH is retiring in June and we have to start figuring all the retiree stuff out.:Scratch-Head: You answered one question about the dental plan! THANKS!:cool2:

They deduct the premium from PODH's (that's my husband) navy retirement check!

The tricare website is great. All the forms are online and everyone I've talked to has been great.

DHL is a pain! They are never on time! We get a discount with their delivery service...but it isn't worth it to use them because they aren't reliable...I would rather pay full price on FedEx or UPS and know the package will get there than get a discount on DHL and take a chance it may or may not get there whenever!
