Well, someone was listening upstairs cause before I could call to move my appt with my neuro they called me. Weird

I guess he really does know my brain.

Anyway, they are sending in the paperwork to start rebif too. I've been on beta, copaxone and now trying rebif.

My sx's have really been ramping up lately. I'm really tired of smiling and telling everyone I'm fine when I'm not. But, that's another story.

Atleast I can get in a few days sooner to see the doc.

I guess I do have a question after all...

I've had the tingly, pins and needles, sorta numb feeling in my feet and legs since the very beginning.

However, this morning I noticed that my left leg is actually totally numb. Can't feel a thing. It works I can walk. Badly just like before but, mobile.

I was wondering if anyone else had absolutely numb limbs and what was done to help if anything.

My left leg is numb from the knee down and my right leg is numb from the ankle down. My neurologist attributes all my numbness to a peripheral neuropathy. I had a Vitamin B12 deficiency which has now been corrected.
However, the damage that has been done cannot be undone. Hopefully by taking sub lingual B12 or having B12 shots will stop any further damage.

I am not trying to scare you, but, you must have your neurologist check you out. B12 deficiency is very common in MS patients.

I had numbness both in my rib cage and left leg and during flare. It gradually went away except for partial numbness in my foor that I have had for years; although muscle spascitity remains.

i'm glad you're seeing your neuro sooner rather than later.
it's possible that a med like neurontin or lyrica might help with your sensory sx's.

i have very numb feet and a lot of pain.
l'm on lyrica and it's helped a lot.

Thanks for the responses. My neuro knows that if I say I need to see him it's important.

I told him I can wait till the 12th but, if anything should change he said he will fit me in. Unfortunately he is the only neuro's office in town. So, needless to say they are all pretty busy.

I've had some numbness especially on the left since the TM dx way back when.

It's just now gotten to the point where I simply can't take it anymore. Can't ignore the sx's anymore or just not think about them.

Now need to do something about them. Boy I really hate it when I'm not the one in control. Ya know?

Yes, thank goodness. One of the things I'm working on is letting people(doc included) in on how I'm really feeling.

I'm always saying I'm fine when in all reality I'm falling apart. It's just easier that way.

My fiancee doesn't let me get away with it though.
