I was referred to a local ENT Audiologist specialist for a hearing evaluation as my wife suggest it.
Now I know I'm a man and we have a genetic predisposition to not listen to our wives (on occassion ![]() My problem is I "hear" my wife and see her talking to me but what my brain is processing is different to when I ask if she said such and such, she looks at me like, "who are you having a conversation with?" I had my hearing test today and aside from a tad of wax in both ears, I scored in the low normal range. On the verbal test I scored 96% right and 92% left ear. Not too bad according to them. My conclusion is I have a cognitive challenge when it comes to interpreting what is being said to me. BTW, I have this problem watching TV and football games. What I think they said and what they said are two different things. Meanwhile, my wife has decided to stay with me ![]()
