Good Luck Erin at the docs!

I appreciated hearing your dog stories....

Have you considered adopting a dog? or dogs? We adopted 2 2 yr old bro and sis dogs this summer and I'm so HAPPY we did!

yeah, I've been thinking about getting a pound puppy, the things that are holding me back on doing that is the possible dog allergy I might have (I want to go to an allergist and be sure of that) and the possibility that the pound puppy might have problems that would be hard for my parents and I to deal with.

The possibility of the dog allergy is pretty strong. I was having all sorts of problems with food allergies when I still had TinyMonsters. Then, when he died, all of a sudden I wasnt having weird reactions to foods and it even seemed as if my seasonal allergies were better.

I think it's totally possible that TinyMonsters, the giant allergen that he was, could have been making some of my allergies worse. He was a walking dandruff factory. When I brushed him (every few days during the summer, once a month in the winter) the dandruff would come off like snow. He really liked to be brushed once he realized that the brush scratched his itchy back. I kind of miss doing that for him...we'd stand out side, with him on the cement bench so I wouldnt have to bend over much, and he'd get brushed out. I think the neighbors liked to watch too. I know my aunt would come over and talk to Tiny while he got brushed.

I still have people who live blocks away from us walk by and ask us what happened to TinyMonsters....these are people I dont think I've ever seen before (I have a horrible memory for faces and names), and they know my dog and not me.

If Tiny were here tho, he'd remember them. He remembered everyone he'd ever sniffed.

Hi Erin! Oh, a Bouvier.......knew it was a "biggie" of some sort. Years ago when I was married and before kids, we had two German Shepherds which I loved. But now with the advanced MS, I certainly couldn't handle one, so I know how your Mom must feel! As to the allergy situation, Bichon Frise's and Poodles are supposed to be non-allergic since they don't shed. That was great, just had to have her groomed every two months. Found one toward the end that came to the house and had a self-contained "salon" in their truck so everything was done in the driveway. Zoomin' Groomin'.

Were you able to get to your doctor's appointment? We've had yucky rain, sleet and fog here in PA but think there's some snow on the horizon. Probably coming from you guys out there. My daughter lives in Ohio and I'm always telling her she can keep the miserable weather out there. We usually get it a couple days later. Hope the dr. had some solutions to your problems. It's so frustrating to go and they say, "yes, you still have MS", I could have told them that much!!!!

Hope you got to Quiznos too!! Those chips sounded good. Tried to find the dill variety around here and nobody seems to carry them.

Take care......

I didnt get to the doctor today. Woke up to a blizzard, so I might go tomorrow or the next day.

I'm about to pop another baclofen because the left side of my ribs feels like someone has kicked me rather hard there. (or that possibly I'm having a flashback to when TinyMonsters headbutted me when we were playing once. Felt like I'd been hit by a Nebraska Cornhuskers football player)

I probably sat on my bed too much today, crocheting and knitting. I left the house for a bit tonight to go to the grocery store with my dad, but that just made my leg hurt more. I really need to have that leg looked at.
