I even ended up at the neuro's office (actually, it was the neuro on call because mine was on vacation) because I had a wierd numb/Pain in my arms.

My reflexes seemed a little slow, but nothing too bad. Finally, the neuro said that if it was a flare, it wasn't bad enough to treat, and sent me home.

About two weeks later, the numb/pain turned into COMPLETELY NUMB. Then the numbness travelled down to my legs. I went back to the neuro when the numbness started affecting my walking. The neuro asked me to walk down the hallway towards him, so he could evaluate my walking.

I did O.K. till I got very close to him...then I tripped, and knocked him over and landed on top of him!

I've never seen my neuro so enthusiastic about writing a script for IVSM!!

LOL, OMG that is funny, to trip and knock down your Dr and than fall on him. I bet he did write out that script fast. :D

What part do you mean you start of your flares the same way, the muscles hurting before going numb or the going numb every day the same way or both?

I start with an ache in the muscles. Not a bad ache...more of an "I can't get comfortable" ache...followed by an "if this ache doesn't stop soon I'm going to cry" kind of ache.

Then it morphs into numbness with the ache. Everything hurts but if I touch my skin, it feels like I have had a shot of novacaine.

Then it morphs into numbness bad enough to affect my walking. If you can't feel the ground with your foot, you a hard time walking without looking at your feet.

This causes me to trip and fall. This is when I get the IVSM.
