I'm back from PT and heading to T :) But saw this thread...

I have the same problem. I'll be the only one to smell the 'issue' in the fridge. Last time I found something rotting under the 'veggie' drawer in the bottom. Other times its been spilled milk.

Hope you find the smell...I know how bad it can be to a sensitive nose!

I don't have problems with the fridge, but I do smell things that others don't. I drive dh crazy at times asking "do you smell that?" then I do the dumbest thing! I tell him to be quiet and listen....I'm trying to figure out where that smell is coming from! I have no idea why being quiet and smelling something goes together! lol

Ah yes..I smell a smelly thing that smells smelly.. Usually if that happens, I can track it down to something that got shoved in the back of the fridge that's developing into a new lifeform. It's happen a couple of times though where I couldn't pin it down, so I took everything out and bleached the whole thing. I'm not sure if it really took care of the smell, or if my nose stopped working after all the exposure to bleach..Either way, it worked!

"OOOooo that smell! Can't you smell that smell???"

My thought was like joellelee's, check the drip pan under the fridge.

If your fridge is self defrosting, it drains down into that pan. If it doesn't evaporate correctly ( something blocking the fan usually) it will stink!

I haven't yet figured out how to get the pan out, not even sure if it does come out, so I move the fridge and vacuum all around it and underneath it and inside the coils and use an extender to get all the way inside the guts.

Last time this happened to me, I moved the fridge and found a moldy puddle of something unidentifiable under it!!!:yikes:

Good Luck!!

For a short time, my nose was so sensitive that some smells made me feel ill. Strong perfume, gasoline and diesel smells, rotting stuff, it all made my stomach turn. I told my neurologist about it but he blew me off... It subsided when I went into remission, which tells me it was the MS.
