I know what you mean. I don't know how many mornings I finally go to sleep at 5 AM. Two nights ago I didn't sllep at all. I have been taking Benadryl to help me and it would work. I then had to increase the dose to 3 and it worked and then the insomnia hit big time. I decided to not take any Benadryl at all and see it that would help and it did. So I think I will use it only if I have problems and not take it just to take it. Sometimes I do take an extra Tegretol.

When I had my sleep study done I read some pamphlets there that said there are two different kinds of insomnia, physiological - a physical reason for it, and learned insomnia - you know you aren't going to be able to sleep so you don't.
