This is just one page that I found, there is a lot if you google Hypercoagulation and fatigue.
http://www.nutri-linkltd.co.uk/docum...bprotected.pdf Some of the other pages were saying that having Hypercoagulation could be causing (or adding to) the fatigue.

Thats about the conclusion the Drs have told me. I have been on coumadin since 1983, and every imaginable test has been done to come up with a cause for all the clots I have had. So far I have had 7 DVTs in my left leg and 8 or more in right leg, and 2 pulmonary embolisms. Then 10 yrs later in 1993 the MS diagnosis.
The only solution the Drs can say is that Im just a mystery, something genetic. Any clots that form now are caused by being less active or immobile due, secondary to MS, not directly related. I get more fatigued not only from the MS but also due to poor circulation in the legs. So what Im saying, is MS or other chronic diseases linked? In my own opinion I really do not think so. The reason why I say that is because I was having coagulation problems many years before the MS. Last edited by jmiller; 02-18-2008 at 02:54 PM. Reason: NOT FINISHED |

I agree, I also don't think that MS or other chronic diseases are linked but I feel that if someone has hypercoagulation that can be causing or adding to there fatigue. I also have a hypercoagulation issue but have never had it treated, I didn't know that it could even be a problem until now.

My nephew was diagnosed during his teen years with Factor 5 Leiden disorder, which is a genetic clotting disorder.
My sister is a carrier, and her former husband was, too, so her son has been on disability for years. He can't sit very long, or he forms clots in his legs. Wonder if this is connected? |

Debbie: I had that test done for factor 5 and it was negative, so like I said earlier Im still a mystery. What 2 were you referring to as far as being connected? MS and Factor 5? Im not a doctor or scientist, but still I do not think the 2 are directly related.
MOMX: I would get that coagulation problem looked at immediately, dont forget your other medical issues but a clot is no fun. I was lucky enough to be in a hospital already when the clot broke off from leg and went to my lung. Dont mean to scare you but its a serious matter. |
