He got me onto STD

Typos are big with me, and my english was exceptional. Now? I spell and speak like a kid.

I had to double take the STD part. LOL.

I too used to be good at English. No I find my self second guessing myself. Since I do transcription from home this sometimes creates a problem. However, I do keep a grammar book on my desk. I can understand your frustration completely.

This past weekend I was talking to my sister and she reminded me of one of my goofs. She had come for a visit a couple of weekends ago and we all had dinner at my parents (12 of us were there). I got up from the table to get something from the kitchen and came back to the table but I couldn't remember where I was sitting. LOL.

My sister and I had a good laugh over it. I am thankful I have such an understanding family with a great sense of humor.

Since I found NT I have been using words more, so I start to realize
that I have forgotten how to spell. Have a Dictionary right next to me.

Even when I type a word it does not look correct> I'll look it up and
it is right but still looks wrong. After I have sent a post so many times
I don't reread and then after see the mistakes My typing is crazy also.
I think my fingers are hitting the right key then find it isn't.

Has anyone had the problem where you type the second letter before
you type the first? Or you type the letter 3 times because your fingers
don't stop.

There are so many memory fogs that at times I am so scared that
it is dementia or Alz.:eek:

yeah, I seem to have developed some sort of weird dyslexia when I type or even handwrite stuff. I read things out of order too sometimes. I'll read a sentence, and it says something completely different than what it actually says.

Yes, dyslexia is what my fingers have. It's ok in the brain but by time the fingers get the message it's alphabet soup, or scrambled eggs, if you prefer. :D

Oh my goodness yes. You have hit the nail on the head with that one.

Lots of times I have to read and read in order to understand. Sometimes I have to get one of the kids or hubby to read it to and explain.

The handwriting business is weird. I have come to accept it, but it's hard. Keep spelling the same dang thing the same way. Thank god for erasers and white out.

Read through the whole thread...

Now I can't remember what the question was...?

But seriously folks, the upside to all this is we will eventually forget about making these mistakes. Because of our memory/cognitive issues.

Hopefully.

DH & I really don't fight much any more because I can't remember why we were fighting, so loosing short term memory has it's benefits. :D
