Heart Our Becky21 is having surgery tomorrow

Becky wrote me and asked that I post a thread that she is having a new pacemaker put in tomorrow. She wont be on the computer for a bit while she heals. I am attaching her email to me. Please keep Becky in your thoughts and prayers that she has a speedy recovery. Love ya Becky!

Becky's email:
I just wanted to let you know that I am having my pacemaker surgery tomorrow at noon. My Cardiologist wanted it done last week but the flu hit his office and there was a delay in getting my information to the surgeon.

The surgeon's office called me a few hours ago and said they had me scheduled for tomorrow. I have to be there at 10 a.m. and my best friend, Linda, is taking me and she is going to stay with me for a few days.

They will removed the pacemaker and put in a new one and the procedure should take about an hour. If all goes well, I will be released to come home tomorrow.

There are 2 guide wires from the pacemaker connected to my heart and the bottom one is working fine. They can't check the top one since it is connected to the dead part of my pacemaker until the procedure. If it has to be replaced they will keep me in the hospital. I am thinking positive and am sure I will be home by tomorrow evening.

I won't be able to use my right arm for a while until the incision heals and the muscle spasms stop so I won't be on the computer for a bit.

I have a ton of things to do and calls to make. I have emailed a couple of my MS friends but can't email everyone. Would you mind starting a thread and letting them know for me?

I am going to be fine and will email you or have Linda email you to let you know how it goes.
