Oh yes!!!! This definitely rings a bell. I can be sitting (which I do all the time), most anywhere and "zone out". My mind isn't going anywhere or doing any important thinking, just staring off into space. Mostly I've attributed it to both the MS and fibro as they both cause fatigue -- and it's really been bad but at the same time, difficult to sleep because of the pain. Sometimes the staring helps with my balance also. When getting dressed, visiting with friends, etc., whenever I move my eyes, I just about tip over so I've gotten used to "staring". Somehow it stablizes the equilibrium.

My energy level is at an all-time low now since taking warfarin (atrial fibrillation) has caused me to become anemic. I believe the "normal" range is somewhere around 12 -- mine this last time was 9.7. My Coumadin is always low too, 1.8 instead of 2 -- 3. Everything is slowing down.....could this be from lack of exercise due to sitting in a wheelchair most of the time? It seems too overwhelming at times to "think", so it's more comfortable to stare. Usually I end up dozing off for awhile too. Isn't this a wonderful disease?? NOT!!!! :)
