If we do Cherie, I'm not aware of it. I'm not totally familiar with how the Trillium program works but I don't think that it is quite like Pharmacare in BC. Sounds like Pharmacare is there to help low income residents pay for their rxs.

I'll see what I can find out tomorrow.

Hi Cherie,

I've included a link that explains the Trillium Drug program in Ontario.

http://www.drugcoverage.ca/p_benefit_on.asp

Per the London MS Clinic, Tysabri is not covered by OHIP (the Ontario Health Care system). Patients either have to pay out of pocket or have their private plan cover it. The MS Clinic does not perform the infusions. They are done off sight for anyone receiving the drug.

The yearly cost is about $ 35,000-$40,000 here. Supposedly efforts are being made to have the Trillium plan cover the drug. There is no time frame available as to when that might happen.

Take care.

Harry
