I do not think I'm in a full relapse, but I need this stopped. It is coming near time for my next TY infusion. I know people get worse in the week before, but I'm getting new sx. They do not last 24hrs. But, this crap has hit both eyes, mouth, bottom line it seems all the areas it did not hit in my 1st relapse. Do I call or do I wait. In addition I may not be able to get my infusion due to illness. Thanks Sheena

I don't know the answers to your questions, Sheena, but from everything you've said this past month, I am worried about you staying on Tysabri at this point in time.

You got pneumonia within a day or two of your last infusion, and although it probably wasn't as a result of the T, I have little doubt that your recovery has been hindered by this treatment when you are unwell.

You have COPD, and you haven't broken your fever in 3 weeks. You have been on antibiotics, but you are not getting significantly better. You are having increased symptoms.

Personally, I would be getting my body as healthy as possible before I jumped on T again. I don't like what's happening to you . . .

You will find some with MS who are symptom free except for exacerbations (relapses), they are the lucky ones. Unfortunately, that is not the case for everyone. Many people with MS deal with symptoms that come and go or never completely go away. Symptoms are a reality with MS.

There is nothing magic in any of the MS treatments that says if you take this you won't have symptoms. Symptoms are part of having MS, unfortunately.

IVSM is for acute exacerbations not for symptoms that come and go. However, there are symptom management meds that might be helpful for some symptoms.

Snoopy - thanks for the info - I'm just so new to this mess

Lady and Snoopy - I know and at this point I am just praying. I may never be strong enough for this drug, but if I can get well in the next few days, I will risk it again. I do atleast have to be well. If I am still sick I can't. The risk would be tooooo high.
