Default Social Security COLA '07

Social Security announced yesterday that the Cost Of Living Adjustment for those on SSI/SSDI will be.....*drum roll please*.....3.3%.

Better than some; not as good as others.

You like my name, Sally? Thanks. Its in honor of my Rottweiler, Sparky (got him from an electrician ). Sparky was 10 when he so graciously allowed me to use his name. He was 13 when he died, almost 3 years ago.

His son's name is Lightning!

Sorry about Sparky. Does this mean that you will be changing your UN to Lightning?

This gives my mother who is on ssi and ssd, 18 dollars more a month and food stamps will take away 18 out of her 26.00 she gets a month. Her house insurance went from 700.00 a year to 1775.00 a year on a 160,000 house in Florida. Who figured this cost of living? The same people you turn to help when you need SSI or SSD. When are we going to be outraged?

Hi Stormsun, My Brother, who lives in Terre Verde, on the Gulf Coast, says the same thing about his house Ins. What a racket. Of course I'd hate to be an Ins Co. when a Katrina hits.

I understand that they got out of paying a lot of claims there, b/c the people didn't have flood Ins.
