The steroids usually pack their punch when they've all united to fight evil. I'd guess about Sat./Sunday you might notice some effects, it may be a week or more. Be full of patience, my little lambchop, anxiety and agitation will aggravate all antagonists!;)

Steroids have always helped me tremendously. However, it usually feels worse before it gets better. Hang in there and rest as much as possible.

I agree with everyone who said you need to protect your stomach. Also, don't hesitate to call the neuro and ask for some Ambien if you can't sleep. I sleep more on roids, but I'm not normal, most people can't sleep well on them.

One thing I usually do with the roids is stock up on high potassium snacks / drinks. That stuff seriously screws up my potassium levels which makes me feel even worse. My favorites are canteloupe, dried apricots, and V8 with calcium (high in both calcium and potassium). I also drink Gatorade to help with other electrolytes.

Good luck on the psych test.

Sorry - I had a crazy/busy day at work today. Ended up working late and now I am putting off writing the 2 page essay, 1 page self assessment, 1 page extra credit report and studying for the Psychology final. Deep Breath!

I didn't sleep all that well last night, very restless. I haven't felt much relief as of yet but as you all have said 3 days so I am hoping tomorrow I do. My legs are both full of spasms today but I have been on them most of the morning and then road in the car for quite a bit of driving back and forth to the car auction twice! (28 miles each way) I am so freakin tired right now and would love to get to bed but to much to do... so on that note/type I am clicking on Microsoft Word to start typing away.

Think of me about 1:35 Eastern Standard Time tomorrow as I sit down to take my Psychology final. Send me good vibes and well wishes.

Hi Char~ I have taken the oral roids a few times and yes, you need to eat while on them, BUT my problem was that I totally lost my appetite while on them, so lost weight.

They did help and as I remember, I had to get a few days in me to see results. Hope you can get some good rest squeezed in wherever you can. I know, hard to do...

I'm thinking of ya.

Thanks Jess - I smile every time I see your "Everyone should have a Jess" I love that!

I am the same way DM - I have forced myself to eat every morning and at night for dinner. I am not hungry at all. But, that has been for a couple of weeks. Everything taste nasty... and these roids leave a terrible nasty taste in my mouth!

I know get back to work.... two papers down one to go and then on to cramming!
