I don't know Brandon. Jim doesn't have much hair on his face but he's been that way all his life. Good question about if the numbness could lesson your hair growth. Hopefully some men will come in and give their experiences.

Geez, I should be so lucky.

I haven't had that problem, but the last time my hands went very numb in an attack, my fingernails were so strong, I couldn't chisel them off. Went the attack/numbness let up, one by one they split, cracked and lost all their strength again (like normal).

Brandon,

Once, when the right side of my face was numb I could not tell how hard I was pressing with my electric razor. I could tell how hard I was pressing on the other side of my face. The difference was noticable that evening...when differential beard growth was evident.

Maybe that is what happened to you.

Interesting, Brandon, I have never heard of this either. I'll take a long-shot and ask if you've been sleeping more than usual on that side. We've all seen guys' legs sort of nekkid from wearing pants all the time (though it never works for women!).

Brandon - I haven't heard of this either. I so wish this was the case for me. Then I'd only have to shave 1 leg. LOL.

I looked at my number leg and compared it to my good leg and there is the same amount of "stubbles" on each leg.

AMN had a good point and it sounds logical to me.

Brandon, MS has left my right side profoundly weak, and I've lost most of the hair on my right arm and leg. So, apparently, this can be an effect of the disease. The doctors tell me this is due to autonomic nervous system dysfunction.

My right arm and leg are often a different color than my left arm and leg, usually kind of more purple. Again, this is explained by the autonomic nervous system dysfunction...
