Something else that I have had in the past... and each time it comes around seems worse and worse. The pain is as low down on my back as it could get, really around the tailbone area. My muscles in both hips just want to be stretched and I just can't get the creepy crawlies in my hips and legs to go away. They come in waves with just a few seconds in between. It seems like it is always something!!! Does this sound like the ms???

I've not had that particular happening, as you discribe it, but anything can be MS related....or.....Not!
I suggest checking with your Doc to see what may be causing this, other than MS. It's so easy for us and our Docs, to blame it all on MS, but it's not always the case. Feel Better..

OHHHHHH YESSSSSSSS. You are describing me me me right down to the tail bone thing.
I've been to the Chiropractor and he says its my siatica nerve in the back, but he thinks the MS is playing havoc with the nerve. Sooooo stretching those butt and leg muscles is so important. The leg thing I describe as "hitting my funny bone feeling" (only not so intense) Its a sensation that drives me crazy more than anything. Try taking a magnesium/calcium supplement to see if you get some relief. Otherwise when the feeling gets intense in my ankles and feet, I rub CAPCASIN on and it seems to help. warning (Capcasin cream is potent and you don't want to touch any other part of your body until you wash, wash, wash again your hands) The back and hips will be greatly helped by some excercises. Look at the link below. I get the most relief from the three exercises under "hamstring" stretches. http://www.thedietchannel.com/Sciati...p-Sciatica.htm

Are you dehydrated? That can make you have kidney pain (lower back) and can make RLS symptoms worse. Also, eat some bananas and see if that helps!! Stretch out. You are under some stress. I sure hope you take some time for yourself soon dahlin!

I understand about those horrible creepy crawlies! I get them on my legs at times, but Oh.... so frequently on my feet! It's like there's a whole plague of ants crawling over there!
I've never mentioned it to a Neuo since I was first diagnosed 30 odd years ago. He didn't offer me a solution way back then, so I guess it's just another of the things that I've learned to put up and shut up about over the years. I didn't even give a thought to the fact that this was "normal" for some, and that there were medications now that might help. Thank you for your post. You've given me something to think about, even though I couldn't answer your questions.
