Try taking it as soon as you get up and only take once per day. You may also want to cut your pill in half for now. I am not on provigil, but I have a few on line friends who are doing this.

Is this a weird reaction? Should I not drink caffeine? Should I call my sexy doctor? Should I take more? Will I ever sleep again?

I was having trouble sleeping before but this is ridiculous!!!!
My doctor told me to skip the caffeine when I was taking it before. And cut the pill in half maybe? It will be baaaa-aaad for you if you don't sleep sweetie.

For some people, it takes a few days to get used to the new medication. Try a smaller dose, as Wiz suggested, and ramp down on the coffee. Also, make sure you take it early in the morning, and none after 12.

You are going to have to find out what's going to work for you.

I take 400 mg and drink 3-4 cups of coffee a day...and still fight fatigue...but without it, I would be even worse.

I have been taking it for a year now - I also love this drug - couldn't work without it.

I don't take it every day but most days now. Also - I ALWAYS cut my pills in half and only take 1/2 a day but I take it around noon. Mine are 200 mg tablets.

I have taken a whole pill and yes - I was like you Motor - bouncing off the walls and even a bit shakey !!!

Medications always effect me more so than most people though - so that was pretty much to be expected for me.

Once you get your dosasge adjusted to suit "you", I think it will be a great help for you - since you are a lucky one too, and can take it.

It also makes me happier and clearer thinking.

As I always say when I respond to Provigil posts, it has been a lifesaver for me - I am still able to work. I still have some really bad times - last summer and fall nearly killed me so I don't know what is to come with this hot Tennessee summer coming on but in any case - this helps !!! For now - I am able to hang on...

Glad it's working for you but sure hope you get some sleep soon and get it regulated.

Snoods.

I took this drug when I was working and it made my brain click right along. It was great...I felt alert and smart! You need to cut the dose and build as tolerated. Sometimes this drug stops working after a while, so you want to start out slow.
Some people take a day or two a week off just so their bodies don't build up a tolerence causing them to have to take more and more to get the same affect.
Some people it does absolutely nothing for. Happy to hear it works well for you. Take a little less and take it EARLY in the morning.

Guinness World Records does not have a record holder for number of days without sleep... At least it doesn't show on their web site.

My record is 16 days. Then I slept for about 4 hours then was awake for 8 days.

I hope you get some sleep soon...

HeeHee! This cracks me up, just goes to show how differently this disease effects us. I'm on 200mg of Provigil a day and I still take naps! LMAO
