Sometimes mine does, sometimes he doesn't. I really think they look at other things and tweak their exam to check things they have seen. I think they have kind of a flow chart in their brain when doing the exam - if a is positive, check b, if a is negative check for c, etc.

For example, if I am looking really ataxic on one test, it seems he does other neuro tests for ataxia to really check that out. If I am showing really hyper reflexes, he checks more of those - probably some most people have never even had checked like on my stomach and my jaw.

If this is really concerning to you, why don't you ask him? Just tell him that you are curious whether that is still present and you have noticed that they haven't checked that since the first time. He might even explain to you why he does / doesn't do it.
