Arrow Feeling sexy?

Once my symptoms started to pick up, I kinda gave up dating and decided that I shouldn't bring someone else into this - maybe someday I'll change my mind. Question is: What do the ladies (even gentlemen) do to feel sexy about yourselves? Maybe you take candlelit baths or a new pair of shoes? Right now I am sitting here with my candles lit and a mud mask on woo hoo

Gosh, maybe I should start with shaving my legs tomorrow and work from there? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated to not let the MS get me down and still try and feel good about myself!

I buy brand new terrycloth socks. I love the feeling of brand new terrycloth on my feet. (and I can feel my toes today, so YAY!)

I have a boyfriend, but only get to see him a few times a month (he lives in another city about 50 miles from me) and with the gas prices now, it might not even be as often as a few times a month. So "sexy" feelings do not happen very often.

Right now, I've got a weird eye issue going on, and that's just causing me all sorts of problems. I'm being lazy about my hair and clothes because it's just depressing to look in the mirror and thru one eye there's good vision, and thru the other eye, there's hazy, fuzzy, crappy vision. It's depressing when you cant see yourself in a mirror from 3 feet away. At least it's only in one eye right now.

I get cute printed socks, and nice nightclothes, with pretty prints on them. I live in my pj's half the time, so may as well make them pretty. I don't know if I feel "sexy" in them, as I threw the sexy part out of my life for a bit, but new makeup helps, as well as a new hairdoo. I would recommend having someone else do the "hairdoo" thing cause I tried it myself and it didn't work out too good. I also wear bright coloured wigs out in public. Perhaps they are a man repellant, but hey, I feel good in them. For me, finding what makes me feel good about myself has been more of a man magnet (not what i was going for), than trying to make myself more appealing to a man.

Yes, I agree that the hairdo is always a good one. Once you've had your hair done, and you know you look good, then the right clothes can only make you look and feel better!

Whether it be a new nightie, that's just the right colour......for me it's emerald green......my hubby just loves me in that colour......or whether it be a cute litttle cocktail number......it doesn't really matter!

If you feel good, you're going to look good no matter if your hair's just been done, or whether you have a new outfit or not. I do believe it's all about how you feel about yourself at a particular time, or on a particular day.

But that's just MHO, and it works for me.

Oh you have an easy one here (ateast for me).

1st I would hire a house cleaner - even if you don't need one. Just do a one time deal if you want. I would go with a bonded agency and pay a bit more for piece of mind.
2nd - I have never met a woman that did not need to be pampered. MS or not. Rich or poor.
3rd - While your house is being cleaned, get your hair stlyed by the best or as close as you can get based on money - we all want our hair a but dif.
4th - this a must - get you nails and toenails done. It does not cost that much
5th - if u want it get you legs, bows ... waxed.
6th - buy a great outfit just for you. Go to V. secret if like that style and buy! Keep in mind this not for a man - it is 100% for you.
7th - hire a sitter and get rid of any kids for even just a few hours.
8th - Make sure on housekeeper - you have already got a secent you like - this goes to 1st. on my list - stripe those da** clothes off and put out on what what u have purchased. I would strip them at the door (closed) and let them stay in a pile. Walk in your home, you did not have to even dust it..., smell it, it is yours and only yours. You at 100% peace - there is no MS - for a few hours try to block sx. Light your candles everywhere. No light - just the scent in the air - make your bath or what ever you like. Remember how beauiful you are-know all is yours-the hel* with the rest. Don't forget the music. Rest in feedom from all. Make all yours.
10th-even if you do not take my suggestion - know always you are beautiful. You deserve the best and are the best. Forget MS.
11th-by the time this over I think you will have pulled your sexual life and dating back togerter or you will have found another way that u are happy with.

I found mine but lost it due to some prob u do not have.

I come in only on this post b/c we both seem to be single with kids. Most here are married and I have so very much respect for then, but it is very hard on women alone. I think they all understand but they do have a DH. I evey them so.

Sorry - I don't do the typo deal when ill

I have gotten to the point of just trying to look and feel better for me. I could care less if a man finds me attractive - or anyone for that matter. If I'm happy with me then that's all that matters.

I've been widowed going on 8 years now and I do not think I will ever remarry - heck, I don't even want to date!! All my friends think I'm delusional....I'm 47 and feel like that part of my life is done. I'm not saying that it won't ever happen - I'm just not looking for it. It'll have to find me - and that won't be easy because I'm good at hiding!! Plus, I'd have to start shaving my legs everyday and that is SUCH a pain!!

I flirt.

From your postings, I'd say you probably have the charisma, character, sense of humor and intelligence that any man with 1/2 a brain should feel privileged to be around. Top that off with a new haircut and color (not saying you NEED one , but it's always fun to do ), a new outfit, some nice smelling body lotion . . . and you'd be reeling them in like fish on a line.

I like talking to people on-line too, usually in music or other interest sites. Of course you have to be very careful, but you can have a lot of fun with this method of interacting . . . until you are READY to make that next step.

Most men don't seem to mind much that I have MS. The main factor is whether you can both be satisfied with the lifestyle that comes with this disease.

Cherie,

I was going to reply to you earlier lol.. but I needed a nap Then my kids were fighting and interrupted my nap, so I went back to bed for another 45 mins. I guess I'm not ready to date at the moment (who knows if ever). I am happy where I am now, spending time with my kids. A guy that was chasing me online, I told him yesterday about the MS and he said "sorry you're so fk'ed up".. yeah..gee..thanks! Actually all my symptoms are invisible so anyone seeing me get out of my car with the handicap plates must really be angry

I was going to shave off all my hair and buy some wigs. It's harder for me to keep relaxing it..and if my hands are weak, even more of a pain. I told my ex husband I was going to shave my head and I think he believes I have cognitive issues now.. heh I have met most guys (ex husband in college) and my ex bf in Florida online, so I have an online knack for dating.

I guess for right now I just want to talk with others with MS so I can get a handle on my feelings. Sad reality I think the Betaseron really made me depressed and now that I don't have it anymore I'm doing better. Step one: I bought candles at walmart.. I love candles so thats good enough for me!!

I get dressed, put makeup on and do my hair, even on days I am going to do nothing but lie around. It just makes me feel better about myself. I also love to put smell good lotion on, get my nails done, get a pedicure done. I love hot baths with loads of bubbles, music and candles!

Don't make yourself leave the playing field either. All people come with baggage. Ours happens to have a name.
