I would call the code compliance or zoning office for the municipality. You could hurt your head trying to research it yourself to see if it was in compliance. Whoever is the code officer should have that info at his / her fingertips.

I called the City this morning and was transferred to City Planning where I left a message. The person who returned my call was different than the person I left a message for.

I have been in and out today so I am playing phone tag :rolleyes:

And I hope you get some help with getting this situation resolved so it doesn't happen to anyone else.

i was going to say good for them for calling you back so soon.
but...maybe they don't want you to sue.
especially if people in the mall can substantiate a prior problem that they havn't fixed.
