From what I have researched tart or sweet cherries may work.

These are some helpful websites I found on the subject:

google: Cherries + inflammation

http://altmedicine.about.com/od/comp...art_cherry.htm

Cited in the Journal of the Amercan Dietetic Association 2007 1686:

http://jn.nutrition.org/cgi/content/...urcetype=HWCIT

The usda.gov study done through the department of agriculture was sponsored by cherry growers. So that is sort of suspect.

Tart cherries tend to be darker in color and therefore have more anthocyanins which are anti-inflammatory. These are found in many colorful fruits and vegetables, too.

Basically, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables!

This is just another reason why I want to buy a small pomergranate tree and plant it in the yard and harvest my own ..they are expensive at the store and I love them! :)

I forgot to add that Amazon {or library, bookstores} has many other books on the subject.
