Hi Sally, long time no talk. I am sorry you are flaring. It has to be scary to flare when you live alone. Do you have people check on you by calling you each day? I'm thinking of you. PS I like your new picture.

SallyC 06-06-2008 08:41 PM

And just where have you been, Missy? :) I'm doing a little better, thanks for asking and DD takes pretty good care of me.

Whats up with you, dear one. Are you OK? You should come here more often and join in the whines and the fun too.

Been Missing You..

I have been at Braintalk and at anothermsboard which is a lovely small community of people who fled from mssucks board and a few newcomers. I'd say there are about 50 members, but about a dozen or so of us who are 95% of the posts. Its administered by dottye (lil mischief). Let me know if you want to join. It doesnt replace big boards like Neurotalk-- it supplements them :)

I've been stable (she says as she knocks on wood) . Maybe I'll stop by more often. I like this board very much too--Since I took up gourmet cooking, I seem to spend more time with Muggles on a cooking board.

Snoopy 06-07-2008 08:26 AM

Oh geez, Sally! How did I miss your thread :o

I am glad your doing better and really, really hope you continue

weegot5kiz 06-07-2008 11:26 AM

hey amn is that a picture of our daredevil friend craig:eek: just kidding craig

Jappy 06-07-2008 06:10 PM

Well I missed this post Sally. As I told you on the other Thread
that I was having a flare this week, so I wasn't reading a lot.
My vision today is staying clearer a lot longer and the body is not
shaking like a rattle inside.

It is now 100 outside. This is the first time this year. They say that
relief maybe by wednesday. A/C has not stopped. Thank God for it.

I also noticed that the colors are different. I used the country. The
lite brown was easy on my eyes now it is gone. Have to check out the
new ones to see which is the best.

Hope that you are feeling better. I am also lucky to have a great
dd to check on me.

Take care

Jappy

Is that an alligator at the bottom right corner of that triangle??

I hope you continue to feel better Sally.

weegot5kiz 06-08-2008 01:01 PM

yes it is an alligator or at least it sure looks like one, I saw that and laughed,

SallyC 06-08-2008 01:29 PM

OK, I have a brand new whine for today....Frank, I could really use some of that cheese.

My scooter took a wheely, while backing up and threw me twisted and bent to the floor. :thud: I was on the floor looking for my left foot..I knew it had to be there, but I couldn't find it:eek: I was SITTING on it. Yikes!!

It took me awhile to relax myself enough, so could get up...ON ONE FOOT, 'cause I killed the other one... I tell myself, whilst sitting on butt.."Is this the time I wont be able to get myself up"? EGADS!!!

DD was on her way with DGrands, so I had to pretend it was nothing. I had a few new toys for them so, they were too busy to notice and I just didn't say anything.

I'm OK, my left foot is swollen and hurts a little, but, I didn't break anything. A small sprain, maybe, but I can stand on it, now, an itty bit.

Ok, who mentioned falling, here, Huh, huh? You made me fall. I haven't fallen in a long time. It's all your fault, I tell Ya...

End of Rant...:grouphug:

weegot5kiz 06-08-2008 01:42 PM

Sally no cheese this time only :hug::hug:, put some ice on it right away and if any one ask just say its sore and u want to try some ice, wrap it and try to elevate it:hug::hug::hug::hug: glad it wasnt worse:hug:

Desinie 06-08-2008 02:22 PM

Oh Sally, I'm sorry to hear of your fall this morning. I'm so glad you're ok!

AfterMyNap 06-08-2008 02:37 PM

Aw, dangit, Sal! Are you mocking me?!?!?!

Do like Dr. Frank said, ice & elevate and PM us in the morning. I'm just glad it wasn't worse.

Kitty 06-08-2008 02:55 PM

Awww Sally, I'm sorry you fell. I know you don't want to worry your daughter but I think you should probably tell her so she'll be available if you need to call her later. Sometimes it takes a while to really feel the full impact of injuries like this.

Hope you feel better soon!

I am so sorry. I cringed when I read your post.
Take care of yourself and let us know how you are in the morn.

Jappy :hug::hug:

Taffy 06-08-2008 04:42 PM

Wow Sappy, that was some fall! I hope you continue to get better.

Now scooter falls are worth a buck. So Nappy pay up....yes...cough it up...don't argue with me...

SallyC 06-08-2008 07:45 PM

I did just call DD and tell her what happened.......I also have been putting ice on it. Thanks for reminding me :grouphug:

I just got up from a nap, about an hour ago and foot has no power and it hurts, so I told her that I was afraid of falling again and didn't think I would be able to get myself up, this time, so please stay by the phone, just in case..:D

I just took two Asprins and will call you all in the morning..;)

DM 06-08-2008 08:26 PM

Holy Toledo Sal!!! I'm w/Jappy and cringed when I read how you fell. I am so glad it wasn't worse, but you may feel more achey and sore tomorrow.

Take care of yourself~ You are precious cargo.

NurseNancy 06-09-2008 12:05 AM

hi sally,

i'm just reading your thread and am sorry you're having these problems.
i too live alone.
would you consider one of those services where you can push a button if you fall and can't get up.

there are lots of them around, medic alert for one.

i hope your foot comes around and you feel stronger.

SallyC 06-09-2008 12:28 PM

Thanks all for your concern and support.

I feel like crapola today. :girl(sad): I only have pain when I try to move and it makes me sick to my stomach, but I have to keep moving, so I don't get too stiff.

I can feel it healing, so thats a good thing. I try so hard, not to fall, because, it seems that all my nerves lock up, on me, making it more difficult to move about.

Oh well, such is life with this #$$%%$#@ disease.:D

AfterMyNap 06-09-2008 01:59 PM

Aw, nuts Sal. Sorry you're feeling it today. But really, in the grander scheme of things, when it comes to push or shove, when you're down to fish or cut bait, when you find yourself questioning what really matters, isn't it good to know it's you and not me?:D:hug:

Feel better, old friend. (No pun intended... sort of):p

Just checking in on you. Sending an angel to watch over
you. Be careful I need my friend Sappy to reach out to.

Jappy

Desinie 06-09-2008 05:01 PM

Just wanted to check in on you too, Sally. What about taking Motrin instead of aspirin since Motrin is anti- inflammatory? Feel better soon, I'm sending you prayers and strong healing vibes!! Keep icing! ( At least this didn't happen in the coldest part of winter.:p) Judy gives good advice about getting a Life Alert button in case you fall and don't have your phone nearby.

weegot5kiz 06-09-2008 05:44 PM

Sally if it makes you sick to your stomach when you moved it, you may want to go it xrayed, nausea from pain is not a good sign. hope I am wrong, but please take care and no hopscotch today  :)

DM 06-09-2008 06:56 PM

OK Sal~ Not what I wanted to hear today. Are you sure there isn't something broken or strained?? I worried about you.

I had a bad feeling that you would feel worse today. I'm sending healing vibes your way.. You are too special to be hurting so much.

Taffy 06-09-2008 06:57 PM

Sappy dear, maybe you should see the Dr. You know, just to make sure all is in order. Maybe they would give you some stronger drugs too! (p.s. smack Naps also! That will make you feel better!)

Thanks V, and hear you about the heat...It's been in the 90s here, but the storms cooled things down to the 70s today. I know it's temporary, but I'm still loving it..:D I hope you have A/C.

Desinie 06-10-2008 04:32 PM

Hi Sally, So glad to hear the swelling's down some and the pain! I've been thinking about you and concerned for you. Still very hot here and humid in PA. Storm's are coming tonight though and tomorrow it's supposed to be a high of 88 with lower humidity. You know it's not even officially summer yet. I'm looking forward to Fall!

Jappy 06-10-2008 07:13 PM

Happy to hear that you are doing better.

It is so hot here 90 to 100 heat index 105

My a/c has not stopped. Sage has not been going out that often.
Storms are supposed to hit tonight. Hope that cools things off.

You take care and rest

No more crazy acrobats!!!!!!

Jappy

SallyC 06-10-2008 07:21 PM

NO A/C????? Noooooooooo!!!! I'd call 911 and have them take me to an A/C hospital..:D...almost, not kidding.

I just wish the heat would go away. It's so bad, on so many levels, for all of us.

Feel better, Sweety..

I'm doing so much better, Frank, thanks for asking. It still hurts some, but is healing nicely. Still a bit swollen but the redness is dwindling and no other discoloration.

Now, if we could just have some cool dry weather, I'd be sitting pretty..
