Default AMN -- I Love you!!!

Hehe...

I just got back from the MS Expo and guess what I got??!??!
PENS!!!!!! Pens.. a tshirt...mugs.. bath salts...lip balm..tons of goodies.. but mostly.. PENS!! And I met other people with MS which was great.. so I'm glad I went. I also learned a lot. I thought my immune system is suppressed and I'm likely to catch colds and things but the doctor pointed out my immune system is overactive.. a super immune system which makes sense. I just wish I had met some of the others on this board from GA there today.. maybe another time!!

Default So funny!

Monique - you made me laugh on that one! (Expos are great for that stuff)....

But re: pens...

Every time I go to my neuros office - when you have to sign in - they have a cup of pens to use - I always help myself to 3 or 4 or more... they're all different drug companies. I usually take one of each! LOL I asked the first time I did it - (I think it was a Betaseron pen - it was a NICE pen)....and they told me go for it. So, now I go for it every time. I actually ran into neuro's office last week to pick up a prescription....and I grabbed some more.

I love pens!

This made me laugh! Did you know that Staples Disease skips a generation? My daughter rolls her eyes while my granddaughter and I go up and down the aisles at Staples, ooh-ing and aah-ing over the pens and pencils and markers, etc. (Not to mention paper, file folders, post-its, dots, etc.)

My daughter will say, "You already have a zillion pens!" and my granddaughter and I will say in unison, "But this one is DIFFERENT!"

My daughter's inheritance will include plastic shoeboxes full of pens.

My dad gets all sorts of free pens from the drug companies that bring all sorts of free goodies to his work (he's a nurse anesthetist at the hospital he works at)

My aunt (a nurse practitioner) goes to all sorts of conferences and brings back all sorts of free goodies. Once at christmas, she was giving the male relatives remote control race cars that had Viagra advertisements all over them.

I wish I could have gone....I just cannot drive that distance AND I will not get on I-285 unless someone else is driving!

Maybe there will be more MS events that aren't so far away. This was quite a trip for you, too, cause you're in southeast Georgia!! I'm in north Georgia and probably the same distance away as you are just from a different direction.

I'm glad you had fun...and got some pens!!

See... some people just don't understand!! I spent most of my time at the Expo with one young lady and she was laughing as I ran around the table at the sessions and took all the extra pens.

I asked her.. don't you have ANYTHING in your life like when I walk into Staples.. the sun comes out like a beam of light from g-d and I hear harps playing in the background. Her husband/fiance was cracking up laughing...why? Because he goes to the African American business conferences and takes all the pens there!! Only someone else with the same love of pens would truly understand.

She is on Tysabri and we talked about that and she said something about not emailing me back if something happens with it and she dies.. which is a horrifying thought so I tried to lighten the moment and told her I would go to her house and get all her Expo pens!

I even scored a magnetic closing pen on a string.. Woo Hoo.. it's mine and I'm not sharing it!!

Kelly,

Aww.. I understand and YES it was quite a hike! Not to mention when I drove in there were torrential downpours and I could barely drive my car. There was probably 200 people there which wasn't a bad turn out.. but someday we'll meet..even if I have to drive over there!!

Glad you had a good time. Those Expos are great. I love pens too! I picked up this really great pen at a landscape software training class in january that lights up when you click it!

I am always looking for pens that are comfortable. I found one at Office Depot that is ergonomically built for comfort but I keep misplacing it.

I am a pen junkie too!

Is there a pen junkie anonymous club?

If there is one, I'll sign up! Um...can I borrow your pen?
