Default Arms and Legs very unstable....

seem to have a mind of their own this week. Doing a lot of teetoring and stumbling. Fell just trying to carry a clothesbasket.

Called neuro. He's having me get a UA and bloodwork to check levels. Of what I don't know. I just talked to the nurse, who spoke to the neuro. He wants to start me on prednisone. I haven't taken anything accept the Beta. But this is the first I've been this bad as far as walking.

Any input?? I know many of you have experienced this. But I don't pay a lot of attention I guess until it becomes this personal...now I need to know more.

I'm somewhat scared! Will this go away?????

Thanks for anything you can share.

I'm so sorry, Friend! I hope the Prednisone helps right away. Sending hugs and prayers!

It sounds like the Doctor, thinks you are starting an exacerbation, if he wants you on steroids.

Thinking of you and hoping for a speedy recovery..

Probably a good idea to start the Pred just in case~~ Sorry about your fall; and hope you feel better soon.

I picked up the Prednisone from the pharmacy. Will start it in the morning. Is it something that will take effect pretty quickly??? I've got to get my legs back. I'm scheduled to be in the labor/delivery room with my daughter in August. I would be so sad if I let her down. Times like this week when I take my turn to say "WHY MEEEEE?!?!?!?!?!? But I know....why not me, right?!

Thanks for the responses.

I do have another question. I have to have my blood and urine checked for 'levels'. What are they checking for?

I hope the steroids start working for you quickly and that you are up and running by August. I have no doubt in my mind that you won't be.

It is hard to say what they are looking for on the blood and urine tests. That is probably a question you need to ask your doctor. They may be running standard tests. I get blood tests done every 4 months; one is usually a blood cell count test (I think - better look at my recent order. LOL.) and the other is a liver function test. This may be what your doctor has ordered.

Sending you gentle 's. I don't want you to fall over. lol Feel better soon and let us know how you are doing
