Debbie,

That is great news about the eye plugs. You will be fine during the MRI. As TK mentioned, just take something. It sure makes it alot easier. Hang in there and let us know how the MRI turns out.

Only 3 more days left!! Yahoo!! Sorry to hear you are having a stomach issue. Hope it leaves soon. You know what you need to do about the MRI issue. Just make sure you do it and don't worry about it.

I somehow relish the thought of being forced not to move and have my eyes closed, and somehow it works for me. I do appreciate how it could not work for others. My first time was a shock with all that noise, but now that I have done 10 is it old hat.

Hopefully that glioma is just going to do nothing and behave. I hope your copaxone has the MRI results in check, too. You can do this, just 3 days!!!

one more day till MRI day!

I get my permenant eye plugs tomorrow, and then Thursday is my MRI and MS center visit.

I have a hand full of xanax and I am not afraid to use it! I just dont want to be so zonked out that I cannot participate in my appointment after. so, i am going to try minimal meds. I can always chew one just before the MRI and it will get in quick. I am such a baby. Strap me to an MRI machine, force me to lay still, and *shudder*

I have an nice eye mask to wear, that will completely black out my vision, so I wont see the cage on my face, or how close the machine is to my head.

so, I am really nervous! 2 more copaxone shots to go. one today, one tomorrow, and I will know if I have another six months of shooting.

thanks for the cheerleading. I really needed the support.

one big day done, and the big MRI tomorrow. I got my eye plugs, and it HURT! good grief! my eyes are soooo dry and sore, I guess I should have expected it. She kept trying to ram in big plugs, and they wouldnt fit. She had to back down 2 full sizes before she got a pair that fit. At least that is over with.

Tomorrow is the big deal MRI. I have to leave the house about 7:00AM  its a long drive. I have the miracle maker all ready to do my IV as I have bad access. I still dont know how he does it. I have a pocket full of pills, and I am about to do my last copaxone shot before I get word about whether I keep shooting or not.

Thanks for all the cheers.

So sorry the plugs were painful!!! I hope they start to work ASAP.

You made it!!! Tomorrow is the big day!! You sound prepared, and you have had plenty of advice. Hope you sleep well for a good journey and hopefully you will get your answers tomorrow.

What ever you decide, I wish you well!

you have taken control.
you will make this.
i also like to feel like i'm in the arms of someone i love. family, God, whoever you pick.

try to replace the fearful things with visual things that are comforting.
i'm rooting for you.

The day has arrived! I am leaving now to get my MRI.

Dejibo 07-11-2008 07:43 AM

Had the MRI. the power went out in the middle of it, and I was IN the machine. They were very fast to get to me.

The consult after, the nurse PA said to keep shooting Copaxone. it appears to her that I had a couple of enhanced lesions, but the big boys are going to have to pour over the MRI and decide. So, for about another week I keep shooting, possibly another year.

I am going to have to find a new attitude to shoot with.

lady_express_44 07-11-2008 09:14 AM

Thanks for the update. I don't think I'd like to unexpectantly find myself "in the dark" in a MRI machine.

Every decision is yours and nobody else's, Dejibo.

Cherie
