Default went to the neuro today

i'm really beginning to hate the 11th! july 11th last year i was dx'd with rrms...january 11th this year i saw my ms specialist for the first time...was told that from the time of being dx'd til then there was signs of increased loss of strength, sensation and reflex in my right side...today...july 11th...my 6 month visit with ms specialist. in the last 6 months i am as he said, showing obvious progression in the loss of strength and reflex in my right side...sensation is like feeling something through rubber gloves...can feel it but it's just not right. i have increased balance problems...kept falling over when trying to stand with eyes closed etc...nearly fell down trying to do heel to toe walk....cognitive skills are heading south also....... oh yeah and this i don't understand...my blood pressure in my right arm was 141/100, my left arm 129/101! i have never had trouble with blood pressure, except for it being too low...never has it been this high and what's with the different readings in different arms? the high reading in the side that is getting weaker?

i have to go back in 2 months...at least this time it's on the 10th!

sorry just a bit ticked off...

but i still love y'all

Sorry about the appointment Suz. I wouldn't worry too much about the bp being off on each arm. Jim's bp has done that in the past. They usually just take it on his right side more often. His left is his "bad" ms side and it runs higher too. What did the nurse or doctor say about the differences? Did they take two out of three to get a middle reading? Maybe NurseNancy (Judy) will come in and give you some advice on that.

Sorry to hear that your appointment didn't go as well as you hoped. But I am happy to hear you've got a good doc. Hoping your 2 month appointment goes better - especially since it's on the tenth.

Yes, we absolutely love him - he never rushes us off and always seems to care.

Is he going to get new MRI's? What DMD (if any) are you on?

You are coming to the get together aren't you!!!

Suz,

I am sorry you did not get better news. Are you in the middle of a flare? That might explain some of the problems you experienced during the exam. If it has been a year since your last MRI, you might request a new one to see what is going on.
