I just want to be clear that I use the numbing med not to mask other symptoms but until I can get me to urgent care as the wait is just so awful when your bladder is burning!!

And NOW I get the pain of a UTI with no infection!!! Its just nerve pain. go figure!!

I always always get UTI's checked out as I had a kidney infection from my bladder being crushed with the delivery of my first 10 pound baby!!!

Know how they helped? (besides major antibiotics long term). THey had me HOLD my urine and only go a few times a day to stretch out the crushed bladder. AAAAGGGHHHH.... I'll never forget that.

Hope you are better!!

I'm almost to the point of refusing to leave if they don't find some infection going on, whenever MS-type symptoms act up.

As of recently, I have no obvious UTI symptoms when I get an infection, but the MS acts up. I think I would have went along with their "sprained back" dx, in this case, since there probably wouldn't be any reason not to. I guess eventually I would have ended up with a fever, and then likely a full blown attack. In fact, that happened in 2003, and that was the attack that took me down!

I think they should check for a UTI before they do anything else!! If they don't, perhaps we should insist?
