See? See? Eighteen months...I only have thirteen months (and eleven days) left to work! I could be retired before my disability went through.

Thanks NurseJudyNancy...praying for you.

Good for you to have a count down clock. My DH did that. It was so great to see the day get closer and closer and closer.

Hang in there! you can do it!

B2Y,

Just checking that you've looked into whether working only 4 days, taking unpaid time off, etc. is not going to affect the amount of retirement pay in 13 months? . . .

I'm sure you have that all worked out, since this seems to be very strategically planned out . . . but I've seen some people negotiate themselves into less pay in the end by reducing their hours along the way. Probably not the same consequences with retirement though.

It's supposed to be based on your salary, not on what you actually have in your paycheck. Taking leave without pay doesn't subtract from the base salary, nor does overtime add to it. I'm sure I didn't use the right terminology, but you get the idea.

Thirteen months, fourteen days. I can make it. Really.
(Slides Nappy up to B2Y.) Ok Naps, make that funny face you like to do so much. She will really enjoy seeing it. Trust me.
