Smile Sorry I've been away..but now I'm Back!

Hi everybody!

I've been away for awhile..I've been feeling great, no problems just the usual numbness..I work full time in cosmetic sales, just this past Sept I walk with country singer Johnny Reid in the Weekend to end Women's cancers..it was a 34 kms walk..the walk was amazing!

Fast forward a couple of months later.. my hands are now getting pins and needles and I'm now dropping things.. my left arm feels useless.. so I went to my family doctor on Jan 5 who did the usual tests and he finally seen for himself the delay in my reflexes etc..

Now my "strong" leg feels completely numb and I feel like I'm dragging it.
My doctor doesn't know about my leg yet.. he wants me to get bloodwork done and see him in two weeks.. he then wants to send me to Toronto to the MS clinic and see a specialist there..

I'm so surprised that my sx came back after 3 yrs.. I mean i walked 34 km..now i can barely move my right leg.

Thanks for letting me vent, i won't stray again.

Always mixed emotions when somebody comes back that way...glad you're back, sorry it's because MS is staring you down agian!

That's one of the things that makes MS such a beast, isn't it? It's so unpredictable. One person gets hit BAM right away and never recoups; the next person goes years without symptoms.

I hope your specialist is able to bring this (apparent) exacerbation to a screeching halt, and that you'll be back to marathoning.

Hi misshayleesmom,

I was just going through Archives the other day and ran across your name and wondered how you were doing. If I remember correctly, the last time you were on here you hadn't recieved a diagnosis?

Good to see you back

Welcome back......sorry MS is making its presence known. I hope this episode is shortlived and you can get back to life as you knew it. Are you still working throughout this? How's Miss Hayley?

Haylee is doing amazing! she has a great support system at her school.. she has really matured a lot in the past year.

For the most part I have been feeling great, like i said before I did the charity walk with Johnny Reid.. he was my team captain and he did it in a kilt.. no less.. very Scottish... accent and everything.. our team raised over $97.000.00 for Women's Cancers..it took us 10 hours because he kept getting asked for pics and autographs..I've signed up to do it again.. you will have to google him.. fantastic performer.. i could go on...lol

I'm still awaiting a dx.. pcp wants to see me in a couple of wks then its off to specialist in toronto.. I'm glad my pcp is just bypassing the neuro here.

I'm going to tell my employer when i go into work tomorrow what's going on.
With my dropping things and now my foot drop.. I have to learn how to adapt to the changes..

So Kitty and Snoopy how have you both been?

It's nice to be back btw.

Welcome back misshayleesmom.. I'm so sorry as to why you returned, but it's very nice to see you again.

I hope this is just a temporary setback, but at least, it might get you a DX, finally.
