Sorry you're going through this, Punk. Sometimes you have to trust your gut instinct and listen to your body.

The LDN suggestion might be worth looking into and as for MJ, I know that people have had mixed reactions -- has helped some and made others feel worse. That said, if you plan to talk to your doctor about it, it might be helpful to have a look at the recent Cannabis thread and links. I knew about helping some people with sx but didn't realize that they're actually investigating it helping with progression as well. There are two studies going on right now in the UK -- one re: sx and the other in consideration of progression.

I think it boils down to a Quality of Life issue. If they're making you feel rotten....then you have your answer. There will be other meds in the pipeline. Heck, we may have a vaccine in the next 2-3 years or so.

Even if you don't do an interferon there are lots of things you can do as others have mentioned. I'd also like to add in the Swank Diet. Dr Swank has 50 years of sound research behind him to show that diet really does slow progression. The best part is that the only side effect is better general health. No it's not easy at first, but eventually it's second nature and I really don't feel deprived. Just wanted to give you an idea if you were interested in something besides DMDs.

thanks all.. i do feel a little better today.. but i am still pretty bent on getting off the rebif.. i decided for right now i am just going to take 1 shot a week until i can get in to see my neuro.. unless the depression gets way worse then i am just stopping it right then and there.

i do remember my neuro mentioning something about LDN to me before.. but i really can't remember all that was said...

as much as i would love to say i could do the swank diet...man i just love my fast food way to much...but ill read about it again and maybe i think different about it this time around...

at this point quality of life is very important to me.. i lost last summer to rebif.. and a really do not want to lose another summer..
