Default urgency to urinate??

hey all,
well having sxs as humid, my normal sxs, although not having tingling pain as I love this neurontin taking last few days it helping...yeahhhh

ok..well question is about urgency, the last hour here, felt such an urge to urinate...even though had gone already not long before....but felt so strong like if didnt head to bathroom might not make it....

also wierd part is, that as I am finishing urinating, the sudden pressure urge comes more...in the area....????

so anyhow, not sure if something new sx wise...(undx anyhow) or if possible related to...last time I had apt with dr....I was told my bladder wall is dropping and to do kegels....(although with five kids and working...I forget kegels I guess) anyhow.....

I do go to my dr office to see a assistant this friday...since I was having pain before...and friday was first time they can see me...so if continues I will check with her...

any info shared would be great....hugsss and thanks all, sarah

Sarah, sorry to hear your having this problem

I get this from time to time, and from my tests with the urologist - my bladder spasms. The more empty it is, the more it spasms.

They also advised kegels for this, and it has helped a little bit for me. It still has a tendancy to go wonky when it's hot and humid out.

I might call the doc if it keeps getting worse just to make sure everything's ok. Hope you feel better soon.

(((Sarah))) - Ok I'm going to duplicate here.

Do you think you might have a bladder infection starting?

Like Fin, I get the bladder spasms too. They feel similar to what you are describing but other times like a tight ball. Is is possible you are having bladder spasms?

I would certainly have them check your urine this coming Friday and also discuss this with them. Go in sooner if you get worse or it actually hurts to urinate as an infection will do.

We will keep an eye on it, so when in friday, I can explain the feelings....
Dont think infection no other issues...in that way...
hugss to you both, thanks for the info...spasms..dont sound fun, but just read they can be caused by certain nerve stuff..but also from dropped bladder...so hmmmmm better start those kegels right now hehehee
hugss,sarah

Hey Sarah,

I have the same problem. It comes and goes. I have been tested three times this year for an UTI and it has always been negative. So I guess I am experiencing bladder spasms also.

Might need to see urologist if it keeps on. I have the same thing happen to me.Its like I went to the restroom but I still feel the urgency.Plus I have problems emptying the bladder as well. Went to urologist and they said I have neurogenic bladder. They said like other symptoms with MS it will be not occur at times and others it will drive you up the wall. They gave me medicine for it and said if that don't help I might have to catherize.I hope yours is something as simple as doing kegal exercises but better safe than sorry.

Definitely go see the urologist...but one thing that I learned from experience when I went the the uro...ask them to check you for a yeast or bacterial vaginal infection too. Mine didnt check that, and apparently that was a big part of my problem. Yeast infections and UTI's have very similar symptoms.

Help Bladder spasms

That feeling sucks!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I keep Azo test strips on hand to check for bladder infection at home. You can buy them anywhere. If I have an infection I use the Azo pills and they work for me. I also take cranberry supplements.

I had all the fancy tests done and they came out normal (small urine retention but not much) so Nuero say's Nuerogenic Bladder.

Mine comes and goes but seems to coincide with a change in seasons.
Its worth getting checked because you don't want to blame everything on MS. I was afraid I had a bladder tumor or something!!

Big hug to you

Hi Sarah, I really think that if your doc said your bladder was dropping
that its a good chance that is what it is instead of being neuro related.
Definately talk it over during your appt. Maybe you need the old bladder
tied up.(just kidding)

I know I get the same thing and go literally 12xhour sometimes. I just
cant empty it.

s and good luck.
