Default Nervous Nellie

I would appreciate your prayers and positive thoughts this afternoon right around 4:00. I have my telephone counseling session with the retirement specialist at shared services down in North Carolina.

I have the stuff from my doctors (YAY!) and have filled out the application and other forms the best I know how, but I'm still a little confuzzeled about a couple of things.

I have all my questions typed out, in order of importance (to me) because I know that as soon as the phone rings, my brain will turn to worse mush.

I don't know if this person will be my "case worker", so to speak, or if this is my one shot, so I'm kinda jittery (go figure).

After today, I finish filling out the forms, then ship them off to North Carolina, where human resources will get together with accounting services, etc., do their thing, then ship everything off to the Office of Personnel Management (I'm a fed, if you haven't guessed by now)

Then, all I have to do is wait to see if I'm approved...for months??? I'm SOOOO good at that.

Thank you, as usual, for your support!

Don't worry B2Y . You've got all your info ready so you're good to go. In my experience, I build things up in my head and they end up being nowhere near as bad as I thought . Plus, you have MS, so that should give you some leeway with who you're talking to . They aren't expecting perfection. I'll be thinking about you . Let us know how it goes, okay?

B2Y - I said a little prayer for you and hope all goes well today. Try not to be nervous as it sounds like you are very prepared for this call. I am impressed as this is something I never would have thought of. You will have everything right there in front of you so I know you are going to do awesome.

It's over, whew. By the time I get through all this, if I wasn't already disabled, I WILL be!!!

By and large, it went okay. I was a bit disappointed to get information that conflicted with information I got from someone I talked with previously, but nothing that will change my course of action. Or inaction.

Tomorrow I will send out the paperwork, and then I do the hard part...wait.

Thank you all for remembering me this afternoon!!!

B2Y - We will be waiting right there with you. I am glad to hear that things went well despite the misinformation. Hang in there!
