And freeze dried fire ants? Now THERE's a snack that might be Atkins friendly, but it's certainly NOT on my list of snacks to actively seek out. I've already had the anchovies and candied almonds snack adventure with a board buddy..... |
Hi Ya Gazzy..:) What does f/u stand for? I have all kinds of meaning going through my doity mind but I'm sure you mean something politically correct..:p:D
Congrats on the, almost, pret-n-near, close, but no cigar, MS DX.. |
:D Yeah, I hesitated when I wrote that, but f/u is "Follow-up." Sorry if I disappointed yer imagination.
You've just gotta stop thinking about AMN and tools. Oh no, just wait. I'm not done with neuro roulette. This next guy might see 2 lesions. After all, the neuro I saw first at this facility said he saw two but thought that both were artifactual probably. Um, right, two corpus callosum lesions artifactual on the same scan. But the rest of the brain at that time looked just fine--it was only the lesion part that was artifact, right? <sigh> It's kind of like playing the lottery. Same theory. "Wonder how many numbers I'm going to get today." ;) |
Well, my antlered friend, I am happy you found a good neuro and disappointed he is leaving. I hope his partner is a good fit for you.
When I first started reading your account I was thinking of making a drive down to see your neuro (you know my story) to get another opinion up until I read the part about him leaving. |
Gazelle -- Hope you are happy w/ your f/u neuro. I've also been through the "It might not be MS after all" thing", after many years of an MS dx. Best wishes! ~ Faith |

wonder if it will hurt?:rolleyes: |

oh, my stotting one, I feel for you... I spent a few years in limbo-land, before I even knew such a thing existed, and it was not even remotely an enjoyable experience. woe betide any who dare disbelieve again... :D hope the "bronchitis" stays stable, honey! |
Re the liver lesion: don't freak out yet! Are you having any symptoms from it? I had two lesions on my liver which were causing nausea and other symptoms. I had CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nobody could agree on what they were. I finally decided to just go ahead and have surgery so the dr could get rid of them. It turned out to be adhesions of scar tissue from gallbladder surgery 10 years ago. They cleaned me out and voila! no more problems.

In your case, I don't think that you'd notice much. It probably wouldn't hurt. It'd just make flossing your ears easier than it is now. :p Quote:
Going back to that semi-limbo hell, ugh, been there, done that, it was old then and it's old now. You're right--not even remotely enjoyable. Thanks. :) Yeah, I hope it stays stable too. Last thing I need is to be stalking the meat aisle for a replacement. :lookaround: "Oooh..... this one's nice and pink and it's only $5.45." Quote:
My fam doc seems to be ok with waiting 8-12 mos. for a f/u (insert term of choice here oh similarly or potentially brain lesioned readers :D ). So I'll see if I notice anything unusual and wait. |
