I had to postpone my appointment to tomorrow (not had to, but it was more convenient) because my eldest wrecked her shoulder tendon, and the youngest came home with what could be a broken finger that's not healing properly. They both need appointments too . . .

Glad they had a nice vacation with their dad, and that I got a little break too. Back to reality though. :D

Sounds like an expensive vacation with their dad...or a wild one! One or the other!

I hope you get some answers once you do get in to see the doc!

Probably expensive (he spoils them), but I suspect not too wild. He already took them skiing and out-of-town shopping for 4 days this year (what man could put up with taking two girls shopping for a vacation?), so this holiday was about relaxation & camping for two weeks. THIS is the occasion they came back injured though. Fortunately, there is no cost for medical expenses here . . . just time to heal probably.

I should find out what my doc thinks this morning about my pains. Probably just the UC, but a "change" to symptoms (after yrs of "the same") probably isn't a good thing. :( Will let y'all know . . .

My doc is not going to "assume" it to be the UC, so he's sent me for a bunch of Pancreas/Gallbladder/H-Pylori (chronic-type ) blood, ultrasound, etc. testing.

Guess the results won't be back for a while, but since the pain is only a "5 - 6", I really don't need emergency testing. If that changes, I'll need to go to the ER.

Glad you got in to see the doctor, Cherie. I'll be praying for good, treatable results! Please keep us posted on your progress and also your girls. Hang in there -- school is just around the corner!!

Hi Cherie:

Could be gallbladder or pancreatitis - glad you went to get it checked out.

Sending best wishes your way.

hi cherie,

i'm glad you got seen and started with some tests.
i hope your dr can find the problem soon.

and get well too to your kids.

Well, the first test is down (ultrasound), and I guess I won't know what it is that they found until next week. :(

Even though the pain is in my mid-section (ribs to belly button), she seemed to spend most of her time in my right kidney area. She found something, because she went and got her boss (or peer) to come have a look at it. They were whispering back and forth, but I overheard "never seen that before ... mutter, mutter", "but the kidneys look good", and "adrenal". They took literally dozens of pics.

She said she couldn't tell me anything, but the results would be at the doc in 4 days.

I can't imagine there are a lot of choices of what could "appear" on ultrasound, is associated to an adrenal gland, and causes pain somewhere else.

My barium x-ray is next week anyway.

I was just thinking about this the other day Cherie. I hope it's nothing serious and that they'll get you fixed up soon. Try not to worry. Just check in here if necessary.
